Your vicar won't see it as pestering. I would simply ring and ask them what they normally do, I'm sure you won't be the first bride to ring to check.
If only life could be one long tea break

The first time I got married was in my parents church and although we lived 3 hours away and wernt actually there when our banns were read we met up with the vicar just before these were done which was 4 weeks before! We went over everything that reading the banns means, what we would say during the service, what hymns we would sing who would sign the register with us and weather or not we would have any extras like any readings etc. I know this is unusual as we did get married so far away from where we lived (lived in wilshire got married in norfolk as ex was in the army) but what I'm trying to get at is with 4 months to go DONT PANIC! You have plenty of time to sort things yet! Phone or email your vicar and ask him whats next and when!

We are getting married in October and i seem to remember the vicar saying he would be seeing us to discuss the service in the summer-we haven't even paid a deposit or been told what it will be costing yet! xxx

hi i get married in july and i was worried about this too so i went to see my vicar one sunday after service and he said he will contact us towards the end of may to discuss everything blah blah so least its not too far away but still worries me as i want everything planned now so im not worrying on the day. The best bet is probably to go see your vicar and see when they are ready for that meeting for your reasurance x

spoke to the church administrator today, they r gunna send out letters in a few weeks for wedding preperation days (dnt no what it is but doesnt sound like much fun lol) in june for sept weddings so thats us lol! then after that they will sort out us seeing the vicar and sorting everything out! glad ive got an idea, was getting really worried, u think they would let people get it sorted sooner, but then i supose they only want to do it once and dnt want people to forget the order and what to do etc!!!! xxx
