    Hey

I've decided to give my future MIL the cake to do for our wedding, shes an amazing baker and makes lush cakes! Now me ans H2B are massive dr who fans and general nerds, so I was thinking of having 2 daleks on the cake instead of a bride and groom (maybe one of them have a veil on and the other a top hat!)

    What do you all think?

aww that sounds fab. i think its nice to get a part of the two of you into small things like that! ours is going to be a man sat down with the laptop on his lap and the bride pulling him by the collar.. its pretty much a daily occurence in our house ( i dont physically yank him off the pc but maybe i should try it)! xx

    Sounds a great idea.
It is something that means something to you both so why not? Do you really want a normal bride and groom when that's not the kind of people you really are.
I would definitely go with something that represents us or means something to us.
It's your day and you can have what you want. x

I think go for it if that's what you like :) H2b saw a pic on a wedding cake website of a cake shaped like a Death Star with two storm troopers as cake toppers - dressed as a bride and groom - and was in raptures about it. He's threatened to get that for our day.... In fairness I love Star Wars too so I could cope with that....maybe as a joke cake, as well as the proper traditional one!

I think you should definitely have what you want. We are probably having something that others who don't know me might hear about and think I'm a saddo geek! But its about what is personal to you, and your guests on the day will get that.
