Just an enquiry as to what you recon is more important your wedding rings or your wedding dress?

If someone can add a poll too that would be great

I could do a poll but since Shazk offered first; I'll leave it to her.

I'd say rings as you are going to be wearing them all the time :)

    Dress.

It's what you'll see when looking back at pictures and you can't ever change that. I'm planning on getting cheap rings and upgrading in the future when we have saved up some money :)

A ring is important .. and it has to be good enough to last a lifetime but it really can be any gold band as it's the symbol that counts not the cost - and most of the guests will not see it that close anyway ..

The Dress on the other hand .. you might only wear it for one day .. but it will be in ALL of the pictures and all the guests will see it

my vote would be cheep ring - nice dress .. ( you can always get a really nice infinity ring later when funds let you )

I was going to say the rings, no question, because they last for life; but, I recently 'upgraded' my engagement ring so that kind of blows that argument out of the water lol. Unless you are very sentimental, I guess the rings can always be upgraded; whereas the photos, many of which the dress will be in, can't.

So, I'm going to say dress: I would rather have a cheap £10 silver band with the option of changing it later, and a nice dress, than a £10 dress and expensive ring.

Dress, without a doubt! Like a few of the brides on here, I've also had to change my original engagement ring so I wouldn't say ring... Although I absolutely love my new bridal set (can't wait for it to be delivered!) but I feel like the dress is what will be in the photos and guests memories for longer! X

Argh both can't choose! My dress is 'the one' and my ring I suppose the ring more but I don't know anyone who has had the same ring, with weight going up and down your ring size can change I suppose if you got married then lost alot of weight you could have it made smaller, but if not and you maybe had health issues like my nan did then you would have to get another one x

The dress! The ring will always be a reminder and as long as there is one on my finger I'm sure it will look beautiful!

The dress is something that you'll have more photos of to remember and will make you feel a million dollars on the day and you can't go back and relive that really... not your ACTUAL wedding day... you could always adjust and alter the ring through the years! :)

The ring! That is the thing that will be blessed on my wedding day and that I plan to wear for the rest of my life, and is what shows the marriage to others. The dress is just for the day, and although I have spent a fair bit on mine, if I was told I had to choose I would return the dress and keep the ring! xxx

I think they are equally important. The dress is generally what people look forward to see and the ring is the daily symbol of your marriage. My ring cost more than my dress. Initially I wanted a plain 1.5mm band which apparently doesn't seem to exist and have ended up getting a 1.5mm diamond band made to match my engagement ring. Completely blew my budget on that one! My dress however brought my budget back in line as I ended up getting a bargain with it.

I originally would have said the rings as you will wear those for the rest of your lives but now that I've organised nearly all of my wedding on a really tight budget I would say the dress as we've bought really cheap rings and we're going to upgrade them next year on our wedding anniversary as we want very specific rings that are quite expensive so it gives us a while after our wedding to save up for them
