I'm like you I've left it to my sister and cousin who are bms. I'm worried as they are both über laid back about everything. I sent them a massively long email with specifications of what I want and don't want, where I want it to be, who I want there, a budget to work to and when I want certain things done by. They thought it was hilarious because I'm really laid back too but I've turned into a control freak about the wedding.

I've asked them to rent a big house in Bristol for a weekend in April. On the Friday night I want a buffet and drinks with music and dancing and games. The house that I have found for them should cater for this. On the Saturday I'd like everyone to have some free time to shop, go to the zoo, spa, whatever. I want to spend some time with my niece as she lives in Bristol but at 6 can't get involved in the hen do too much. For the evening head into Bristol, possibly comedy club or karaoke. I've stated strictly no stripper as I find it all a bit sexually aggressive but any themes or fancy dress is fine by me.

I'm going to give them til October to get the ball rolling and I've got a couple of spies who tell me that contact has been made through face book so I'm impressed that they have made a start, it's just horrible leaving my last night of freedom in someone else's hands.

I have left my hen night in the capable hands of my 3 bridesmaids although it was really hard to give the control over, i will admit I am a bit of a control freak!! I got told a couple of weeks ago that we are going abroad for the weekend but i don't know where!! How flipping exciting. xXx

During the day we are going to just browse about, have some drinkies, (not too many though as will be asleep early LOL) then just hitting the pubs and clubs in the night time.

I think i will b arranging my hen night myself, lol.
Dont want anything big just a nice pamper day or something.

I will arrange my own. I am planning on a long weekend somewhere warm with MOH, BM and a couple of others then a night in town with a meal and dancing when we are back. I mentioned the possibility of a big fat gypsy wedding theme where we all bu the nastiest charity shop wedding dress we can find and bling it up, but MOH said it ma be a bit much and she would end up ditching it half way through the night so I don't know about that xx

I left it to my BMs, the only thing I asked was that we went to Jamie O's restaurant in Nottm, as I'd always wanted to go. We did that on the Monday night, just me and the 2 BMs, then went for a drinky poo after and it was fab. Then, on the Tuesday morning, they (along with my future sis in law), bundled me in the car and sped off down the M1. I had no idea where we were going, we stopped for lunch at Newport Pagnall (uber glam lol), then carried on south. The cheeky monkeys had booked a tour, at the Harry Potter studios in Levesden where they filmed all the HP films. LOVED IT, I'm a huge potter fan and it was a fab afternoon!!!
I think as the bride, you spend so much time and effort organising everything else, its kind of nice to let go and give someone else the responsibility. I'm a huge control freak, so it took a lot of effort, but it was worth it in the end to have faith in my girlies. My BM when she got married, hired a cottage in Derbyshire and we went out for dinner, went on longs walks, and it was just fab. It doesn't have to be about drinking, you can make your hen do whatever you want it to be xx

All I know is the date! Completely in the hands of my BM's!! I have said that fancy dress is a must, to try and keep budgets reasonable but £70 to one person is nothing compared to another who would think its mega expensive! I told them I would love to go to a city that I have never been out in before. Apart from that its all a big secret and apparently they are keeping the finer details a secret from all the hens until a few weeks before so that no one blabs!

Mine is a joint effort with my CBM and another close friend I booked us into a spa for the day and night also booked there treatments (which i am paying for as a thank you for putting up with my non stop talk of weddings for the last 12 months) they have organised with my other friends to come and join us for evening meal and then i dont know what eles is planned for the night as they are keeping it a secret !

im going to let my moh organise mine, but originally i wanted to go to blackpool and do a package thing where you go to male strip club and have your very own stripper lol

I had my bm round tonight and she's still not letting slip. She has however promised me that it won't involve dressing up and getting drunk! Phew

I still doubt it will be the action packed day I'd like though - she wouldn't risk breaking a nail.

My MOH (sister) is going to be in charge of most of the organising at first she said that I couldnt have anything to do with it but she has now given in and letting me help... she is doing goody bags for everyone but I am not allowed to know what is going to be in them and she is designing and having my outfits made for me and I am not allowed to know what they are either lol.

I like everything to be planned and on a spreadsheet to show it is being done properly - I am having 3 hen nights - 1 weekend away with close girly friends and younger family members - 1 hen night with girls at work (my best friend at work is organising this) - 1 hen night with the older people of my family where we will be going for a meal. My weekend away is going to be a bank holiday weekend in Skegness

I've organised mine as my chief bridesmaid is my 13 year old daughter lol I'm going to a lovely family run Italian and then onto a show with 'girls' that are funny in my hometown of Blackpool. There's about 18 of us going

Am I the only person that doesn't want a hen night? No date set so luckily haven't had to think about it much yet.
