Spray tans can look really nice, but it depends on where you go and how well it's done. If you have never had one before I would advice you to try one out first about a month or so before the wedding. My friend had one for her wedding day, she had never had one before and she hated the colour it went. x

I would go sun bed- a few people who are recently married who I have spoken to who had spray tans had issues with it coming off onto their dress and it has ended up ruining them. Some even got it on the underarm so during the day it was visible too!

If it was me, and I have never had either ... I would go for a sunbed, no risk of it coming off onto your dress then.

im going on sunbed. you can build up tan gradually until you are the right colour. also spray tan can make you a little orange and might get an orange dress at end of night x

I wouldn't spray tan just in case it comes off on the dress. I'd try one of those gradual tan moisturisers instead?

I just want to say don't go on a sun bed, they're dangerous and not worth the risk.

If you have a regular sun bed from now until the wedding it will keep your current tan topped up :) I will def be having sun beds before my wedding!
I have only had a spray tan once and it was for my 21st and I absolutely HATED it!

I think it is best to look like yourself on the wedding day. If you normally use sun beds and/or fake tans then it would make sense to keep using them before your big day. However, starting just for the wedding can backfire if you do too much too soon.

FYI: Sun beds are a known carcinogen and increase the risk of melanoma (the most deadly form of skin cancer) by 150% in women who tan in their 20's. It isn't a safe tan or risk free. If you choose to use sunbeds it's important to understand these risks and the best way to minimize them (such as reducing exposure time to prevent burns).

For removing tan you can use lemon juice scrub of Lakme it is helpful in tan removal.

Neither! Go for a proper Tan cream treatment... With full exfoliation and moisturise! So much better and skin will glow... Tan beds can dehydrate your skin and require more hard work to keep skin healthy... And what if you burn?! You can't rub that off!

I did sunbed sessions recently (stand up) i only had 3 minute sessions, three times a week, for three weeks and i have a lovely glow, although i had some colour from the sun on my arms already the rest of me was pasty, i just intend to top it up now occasionally until the wedding.

I'm also getting married in March. I am naturally very pale and when I was trying on dresses I went blue/purple! Not a desired look! So I was thinking of going for a few sunbed sessions before the big day as I always go orange if I use any form a fake tan. And I'd also seriously panic that it would go on my dress! I'm normally very happy to stay pale as that's what I am... but I really don't want to look like Smurfette when I walk down the isle!

I'm quite pale as well so I might use some of that cream that Valentina suggested but if I get married abroad which I want; I will probably have a slight tan anyway. My pic in my signature was when I had just come back from Portugal so was very tanned :P

I would deffo say sunbeds, i did and went on about twice a week for 5 weeks leading up to the day and i had a lovely glow on the day. I just couldnt risk pray tans... could be patchy, rub off on your dress, orange. A few sunbeds sessions are not going to risk your health as much as going abroad every year on holiday. A one min exposure on the sunbeds is equivalent to approx 45mins in the hot sun.

As you can tell i am all for sunbeds for wedding days :) xx

I know it's not the healthiest option bit I'd do sunbed as my SIL did spray tan and it transferred to her dress

I am very pale and would never consider going on a sun bed. My health is so much more important. I would much prefer to get a spray tan and for it to transfer onto my dress than to be battling cancer a few years down the line. For me, it's just not worth the risk, even for my wedding day. Plus, I have so many risk factors already for melanoma (pale skin, moles, blonde hair) that I'm not adding anymore.

I'm really surprised at how many people are saying sunbeds, especially those who are saying they aren't dangerous - they really are, no matter how you use them. There is also the fact that if you're not careful you could end up burnt which is a heck of a lot harder to remedy than a dodgy spray tan which you can scrub off. I'm planning on getting a spray tan about a week before the wedding so the residue will have worn off before the day so it will be unlikely to stain anything. I have to say of all the spray tans I've ever had, I only had it rub off once and that was at a dodgy salon that I'll never use again.

i think sun beds are fine aslong as you do short bursts, seeming as in this country we don't get alot of vit d from the sun, and don't go on them every week

I'm naturally pale and intend to still be pale for my wedding. Personally, I'd go with the fake tan as I had one done for my eldest brother's wedding - it looked really natural and didn't come off/transfer onto my dress.
