    how big is everyones bag ?!!?

    i will be taking make up and bobbi pins and perfume. Nothing else. Oh and tissues (I will cry)

    But i will be giving these to my mum and MOH. I dont want to carry things around on the day.

    Wow Steph, that is a biiiiig list, lol. Maybe I should have a bum bag under my dress, lol. There is no way I could carry all that around with me! Maybe I could make my own utility garter, lol. I just intend to walk around inside my protective bubble, so no spills or food stains on my dress, and no one will be able to hug me to make my hair move or smudge my make up, lol. Bit far fetched right? ;) x

    In the ladies:

    Painkillers
    Tampons
    Sanitery towels
    Body sprays
    Tissues
    pot of lip balm
    Mini perfumes
    Mints

    Gents:

    mini aftershaves
    (i dunno what else smelly boys need lol)

    I will also have an emergency bag being cared for by my friend. In it will be my roll up shoes, makeup for touch ups, hairbrush, vaseline, plasters, tissues, change of knickers (big hold it all in ones to wear through the day, change to pretty skimpy ones before heading off ;) )

    Id never thought of having a bag with me....ill probably just give my MOH an emergency bag to carry because im bound to lose it just as i need something!
    Im having the majority of my reception outside on the grass (garden party style) and so im strategically placing metal buckets of cheap flip flops for ladies to take when there feet hurt or if their heels are slipping into the grass!

    oh the flip flop idea is ace!!

    I was a bridesmaid for my brothers wedding, and yes I got a little drunk and decided to take my shoes off and kept dancing bare foot! Looking back at the photos Im totally embarassed - and dont really want anyone doing that at my wedding - maybe I will have some cheap flip flops just for ladies who have tired feet! hehe

    good idea!

    So glad I found this post, I am about to write a list in my book that I can add too or cross things off as we decide I will probably leave it in my room or behind the reception desk of the hotel till its needed. And Im also going to put a basket in the toilets with a tag saying compliments of the bride and groom, in the ladies. Im going to have little tester size perfumes, hair spray, deodrant, make up, cotton and threads of various colours. And in a seperate basket I'll put loads of them ice pack things (ask hotel to keep some in fridge so it can be changed in the night) with blister things for people who still want to dance and dont want to take shoes off.

    Then in the mens, I'll have aftershave, mints and to be honest they probs wont need anything else, Maybe a few blister plasters just incase!

    xx

    I didn't bother with an emergency bag. We got married 130 miles from home - so tbh just packed for the weekend - with added wedding clothes!!

    I left it to the guests to bring their own things, so didn't need to provided anything for emergencies - and anything I needed was in the hotel room after the ceremony anyway. The only thing we did need that we hadn't planned for was a safety pin, because our bm stood on the bottom of her dress and ripped it slightly. Luckily my aunty had brought an emergency sewing kit with her.

    The only thing I cant live without is vaseline for my lips, and as I cant be bothered with a bag, I'm going to tuck it into my garter! Some great ideas here though! They are things you would need/want in your overnight bag if your not having an "emergency bag".

    It was from store 99p x

    It includes

    * Nail File
    * 2x Hair Elastics
    * Sewing Kit - which has 5 coloured threads already threaded onto needles, a safety pin and two small white buttons.
    * Plasters - 2 standard sized and 2 blister plasters
    * Hand/Face Wipe x2
    * Paper Soap - Place sheets in hand, wet them and rub together to create lather.
    * Glamour Tape.

    Unsure how well it all works being so cheap, will test out, also plastic box is not very great but I thought it was a very handy kit to have for your day :) xx

    Mobile phone
    Perfume spray
    Rennies - quite a few were getting heart burn
    Paracetamol
    Lip gloss
    Lipstick
    Travel sewing kit - this was actually needed for my nephews/Usher's trousers
    Money in a money bag - saves room lol
    My straps for my dress incase i changed my mind on strapless :)

    My sister had some things in her bag too. I just put in things i thought might be needed (everything in my bag got used at some point) I got asked if i had the kitchen sink too lol especially after i pulled out the sewing kit :D x
