Its a great idea thinking of kids as some bring their own toys but they love something new. We went to the cheap shops and filled a big box with similar bits, they had fuzzy felt games, card games, colouring books, crayons, no felt tips (just incase!). You can get party loot bag fillers from supermarkets as well in packs of 6 quite cheaply.

When I went to a wedding when my boy was around 2 I really disliked the sweets in tbe party bag. So as a health concious mummy I say no sweets - colouring books, crayons, stickers, small cars/animals, something to build, small books, puzzles...

Wilkos also does a great pick'n'mix and party bag filler range - stuff for 30p each.

I hadnt thought of wilkinsons. I'm gonna have a box filled with bits for the "boring" bits whilst photos are being done and after the meal, although im going to have a mini kids disco before the "main" event so the kids can blow off a bit of steam, whilst the adults hit the bar lol. My little man is going to be 2 (the week before the wedding) and my MOH is going to have a practily 4 year old (birthday day after the wedding) and a 1 year old, not to mention my cousins kids, so i want them to enjoy the experience too. (i know some people will disagree) i was concerned about crayons on the table cloths, will they wash out easy?? (my LO is only 8 months and i not really been round kids till this year, so i have no idea!)

When my sister got married last month she had loads of kids (as will i in march) They were running around and loving it. She made up gift boxes for all the kids containing colouring books, crayons, stickers, balloons and those noisy blow things.... Oh and hats as well. The kids loved them.
She also had a kids disco type thing as well, had games of musical chairs, musical bumps, musical statues etc..... and it was a massive success with ceraint adults getting involved as well.

For my wedding i havent thought of gift packs as such, but will have a table with a roll of drawing paper and a box of pencils etc... for the kids to sit at and drawer if they want. I have also bought giant jenga, giant connect 4, and giant snakes and ladders to go outside so hoping the weather doesnt let me down (though have access to a marquee we can use if it does :) ) We are also having a buffet so no waiting around for food to be served etc....So hopefully children and adults alike will be kept amused.

I think it's lovely that you all think of the kiddos!

    Crayons should wash out.

I'm thinking of colouring books & crayons or wilko's do make your own mosaic kids kits for £1 so I thought they would be good for when the speeches are going on, because kids to get bored & luckily i've got 3 of my own so i'll probably do testers on them b4 the day and see which they think the smaller kids will enjoy & we're having mini sweet trees so there will be sweets available all day, but just out of reach so the parents can decide how many their own kids have x x
