I have just had a letter from the venuw arrive in todays post
It is to tell us about their wedding fayre this coming Sunday 11am - 4pm Great...........although I am due to work over time 9-2 (to earn extra money for the wedding) H2B works 2.30-11pm on a Sunday
We have everything sorted for the wedding, nothing really left to find except bridemaid dresses & shooes, suits & a make up artist So I doubt I would actually get anything out of going but I would LOVE to see it all set out properly, rather than looking at photols
Also get the option of wine tasting
So, What would you ladies do?

I would try and go as sounds good especially seeing it all laid out but also you have 9 months so sure they will run another one nearer the time? xx

I would try to go myself, like you have already said it would be good to see it all laid out, but at same time if you both have to work then obviously that will cause issues...but as millz has already pointed out over the next 9 months they are more than likely to throw another fayre at some point! xx

Im not sure if they will, not known them to do one before & have been looking at venues since we got engaged Aug 2011 Hmmmm its a tricky one as I want to go but Overtime is not guaranteed at work so bewst to grab it when they offer it. Dilema. Will see what H2B sayd when he calls me on his break x

you could always ask your venue if they have any weddings coming up where the room will be set up similar to yours and see if you can arrange to have a viewing just before the wedding? Our venue has loads of different rooms to marry in so gave us a couple of dates where there were wedding ceremonies taking place at like 2/3pm so we could run in and have a quick look at the setup before hand - unfortunately the 2 dates they gave us we couldnt attend but once they have told me who the new wedding coordinator is im sure we will arrange to do it at some point... xx

If the only reason you want to go is to see the room all done up properly then why dont you get in touch with them and find out when they have a wedding on and you can go down and see it before the wedding begins? xxx

That is an idea & I have done this when the wedding was in the afternoon so I saw the room for the ceremony but I have not seen it set up for the wedding breakfast as it is the same room. I have just emailed to see if they hae any others planned between now & our wedding. I am so over the moon with our venue, I know I dont need to go........would be lovely too though! Not sure H2B will get that! lol

So, it is their irst wedding fayre and the success of it will depend if they have any more. I am due to work 9-2 and wedding fayre is 11-4 with H2b going to work at 2.30! May do 9-1 and pop there after work with H2B

I would definitely go, I have seen my venue all set up for fair and fell in love even more and made complete decision so yes its a must in my eyes :)

Did you ask them if the room would definately be set up? When my mum went to one at my venue this year they had all the stalls in the rooms so the rooms werent actually set up how they would be for a reception xxx

Yeah they have said the stalls will be in there but they are going to set up part of the room. Spoke to H2B and we are gonna go for a quick look after I finish, earlier than planned at 1pm
