So me and OH have not been "trying" for a little one but not stopping it either if you catch my drift since june but now its down to 10months before the wedding im thinking maybe we should stop because not to keen on the idea of being a pregnant bride or postponing the wedding. But the chances of me falling pregnant are quite slim as OH has low count so could take years anyway but knowing my luck ill fall exactly 9months before.....just thinking if it happens then its meant to be?? anyone in the same situation or got any advice?? xx

Im not ur situation but I would be thinking the same with my luck as well.

My friend was told would take her ages to fall pregnant and she fell pregnant on honeymoon only 2 months after starting to try.

I think you have to decide what is more important to you, I agree whn it willl happen it will happen but if you really cant face being a pregnant bride then only you can answer that xx

We had to postpone our wedding after getting pregnant earlier than i thought i would. I'm happy we postponed as i now get another page boy x I think it depends on how much you want to get married and how far in advance you're booking things x

If you are concerned about a pregnancy showing on your wedding day you only have to be careful for a few months because if you fall say 2 months before you wed, it will not be too noticeable.

However if your wanting to party hard on your day then that's different obviously.

It's a tricky one & if I was in your shoes I'd feel the same way. I'd be inclined to stop until the wedding though personally. Look at it this way, even if it does take you a little longer, enjoy trying! You & your then husband will have your whole lives together xx

You might end up as a bride with a newborn at the wedding. If you don't want to cancel or postpone your wedding I'd start using precautions. If you really want to get pregnant it might be a good idea to talk to a specialist about your situation.

I would personally keep tryingn if i was told that it would be difficult. I would take it as a sign to be honest. Whatever happens is supposed to happen. But thats just what i think.

I guess its a personal decision for you to make - if a baby is so important to you, keep trying but if the wedding and not being pregnant at the wedding it then use precaution.

I saw an episode of DTTB where she was heavily pregnant (about 2 weeks before her due date) and she still looked stunning in a floaty style dress. xx

i am in exactly your position...! we have been trying since january but no luck yet, am sure it will happen eventually as we have ds who is 16 months... we havent stopped trying but since june time have been a little less militant about it as i started my pgce in sept... now its 9 months until the wedding and technically we are not trying but we are not actively preventing either, if it happens it happens and it is meant to be...! i don't really want to be a pregnant bride but after trying for 8/9 months now i don't want to put it all on hold just for a wedding...!

It's called NTNP in forum speak - not trying not preventing. I would avoid a month before the date and at least 2 months after. Mainly so you don't have to cancel due to being in labour, but also because it can take a while to recover afterwards. My daughter is 4 months old and I don't think I felt well enough to have a nice wedding until she was nearly 3 months old. Saying that, it probably would have been more enjoyable then than when I had all day 'morning sickness' from 1-6 months of pregnancy!

Personally I would not stop I think if you are struggling then u should continue trying if it happens then everything happens for a reason x

It's really only something you can decided together. Do you want to have a bump on your wedding pics? Would you be happy to postpone your wedding if you got pregnant? Are you in a rush to be pregnant or happy to try after the wedding? Remember, once you're married you've got the rest of your lives to have a family, so no rush then.
