Wedding Forum - What transport are you all having?...

Just wondering waht kind of transport your all having? My H2B wants either a rolls royce phantom or a bently - the modern ones. He says the old fashioned ones don't excite him! lol I have a while yet before we have to book offically but i have spoken to some companies and they have quoted us over £1000 for one car for 3 hours. Some other companies won't even give us a quote as it is to far in advance!
just wondered if you girls knew any good companies you can recommmed?

I am doing a lot of shopping around but it is proving to be expensive, we are also looking to hire a limo for the groomsmen and bridesmaids, but they are pretty cheep if you go to limo hire companys!! x

im having horsie and carriage, h2b wants a car but not sure what yet. hiring a coach for all the other guests xxx

we're having horse and carriage (500) limo for bms, MIl2b & my mum (100) and a surprise rolls royce for my grandma and grandad (180) H2B wants to walk but he's debating at the minute he'll only be 5mins away from the church x

Im having a classic MK4 Jaguar! its beautiful.....you wont get a Phantom or a bently for cheap as they are very popular wedding cars to have.

not sure my mum is sorting it for us she is a taxi driver so she knows people in the business to be honest as long as it gets us there i don't mind x

CeCe us too, though he'll be at his parents the night before, about 10 miles away.
I'm bricking it though as he mentioned going quad biking that morning?!?
I know we're not marrying until 4pm, but the local hospital is not exactly the quickest at seeing anyone in A&E :(

im staying at the hotel the night before, but im getting my H2B an aston martin as a surprise to take him to the hotel x

we're not having official tranport as the whole day is in the same place and to be honest couldn't afford it

I'm not supposed to know what I'm having but the h2b has already let it slip that its a pre 1930 Rolls Royce just don't know which model it is. I've got him a vintage jag for £375 for two days hire so we can have a nice ride out on the Sunday as Mr and Mrs. He would have had it for three days but he decided to book our honeymoon for the Monday and as the jag is a surprise its not like I could say anything.

I really like the old vintage cars, think its a rolls royce but not sure on car names. Or a horse and carriage :)

h2b is going to the church in a delorean (for free) i will either walk or taxi it. Cars just arent an important expense for me and hopefully from the church to reception we will be having a trans an (ie Knight riders 'KITT') for 150 or less... trying to get in some favours. if not ill ask my uncle if we'll use his car as hes always getting the latest jaguar.

I was having this convo with h2b and my Mum the other day. We were like, how many cars, what takes who and all that?? Yer my Mum said the car that takes me and Dad can take the bridesmaids first, then me and H2B leave the church in the same car. But we will be having quite a few people leaving form our house so got to find out if they will be driving or neededin lifts. If they need a lift then I'm sure taxi's will be the best options as I don't want my Mum and Dad to be ferrying people around.

Thinking of organising a bus back to my home town after the wedding the next morning so guests who are staying overnight can get bck alright xxx

My parents are hiring a 7 seated car and one of their friends is going to drive it, that will take us all to get hair done and anywhere else in the morning. Then they will drive the bridesmaids, flower girls, and mum to venue. For me and my dad I have been quoted £150 for a new bentley. It's only for an hour as ceremony and reception are in the same place and it's only a 10/15 minute drive so will be enough time for quick photos too. And we will put ribbon on the hire car too :o)

I've seen a site that does Mini limos, really tempted to go for that but I'm leaning towards one of the 1920s style cars now. I've still got enough time to change my mind though lol

I've got a new white Jag XJ for me and a new Land Rover booked for the weekend for the groom to use. Managed to get it for free thanks to FIL2B working in the car business :)

I'm not sure yet - depends on whether we go for a church wedding or at a hotel...

Tempted to use my own 1979 Mini which has featured in shows, magazines etc so think that would look fab with all the bows on and flowers inside etc... H2B fancies a range rover or something along those lines, depends on budget etc xx

we will use a taxi.i dont think £120 for 10 min drive is a wise spend
