Hi! I am having a strapless dress, the last strapless dress I wore I had to have tape helping to keep it up and it hurt like mad getting it off. I would hope I'd naturally keep it up considering I have a fair sized chest but makes me nervous to think it can even budge lol. I have planned on getting my bridesmaids and myself some dressing gowns for the morning when we're getting ready but what do I wear under my wedding dress?!?! Help please

I really hope my h2b buys me a bride dressing gown lol!
I've got a strapless bra set from b0ux avenue from the bridal section. I think the only way to know if it'll help keep you up is if you buy one you like and try it with your dress. That's what your fittings are Ideally for. If there's nothing that's any good, what about going without? My stepsister didn't wear a bra under her dress as the corset gave her enough support.

My dress isn't strapless, but I was anticipating having a strapless one so I bought this

I loved it so much I bought it in black and in white! It's got an extra low back but lots of support and removable gel pads.
I paid about £30 for them from ult1mo which can be bought in most department stores

I tried my dress with both a strapless bra and a bustier, and the bra worked better. I'm also well-endowed, and would never have dreamed of going with nothing under the dress. The dress had a corset back so that it was secure, and I never at any point felt like it was going to go anywhere. It did sit a bit lower than it had at the fitting, because I lost weight in that last week without meaning to, but it was still secure.
30th August 2014 was the best birthday ever.
It was the day that I became Mrs. Dixon.

Im not big(30d) so always feel with no bra i am flat lol after 2 kids they havnt got the fullness they once had anyway i got a bra from ebenhams for about 20quid its seamless and has a bit lace on the cups. Ivory. Matching ivory thong lol :-) im trying them with my dress tomorrow i did have a strapless bra on when picking dress so hoping this works better as its a big more supportive thN a balconet strapless bra :-)
I'm not wearing my matching pants for the fittings, I'm saving them for the day. Is tht weird lol?

I'm a bit worried about what I'm wearing under the dress. My dress has had straps fitted but I'm quite big chested (36E) and couldn't get away with not wearing one. I've got my pre-fit on Tuesday so I'll speak to them then.
I guess you have to go with what you're comfortable with.

My hubby bought me a spun silk dressing gown with lace sleeves and some blue and white shortie pjs with 'I do' diamanté across the front from d3b3nh@ms to wear on the wedding morning while getting ready. I went for comfort under my dress with a bridal Ivory silk strapless bra and silk French knickers... Nothing mad I'd be uncomfortable in all day x

Ill only be taking the bra to the fittings too.
Im a larger lady (36H) when I tried the dress on last time i went braless so Im going to see what its like when it arrives in store in April as its a corset i know i will be well secure and no chance they will fall out, but I will be buying a strapless bra too.

I think I'm not going to wear a bra, as when I tried mine on she said it would fit better without a bra as the corsets already giving the support, plus I've not got much there anyway! It felt a bit like I was wearing 2 bras! As for pants what are you ladies going for? Pretties or Spanx hold you in types?!

I'm only a 8/10 so luckily can get away with pretty. If I needed to though I wouldn't have a problem with wearing sucky-in pants lol. It's going to be a long day so have to be comfortable! X

Still at a loss, been having a look though. Think when we do our Christmas shopping on the 6th December I'm going to make myself get something because otherwise ill leave it far too late. I don't think I could do bra less, I'm a 36F and self conscious lol. But to be fair, wearing a bra, and a heavy dress allllll day from approx. 10/10.30am until god knows what time may be more comfy without a bra haha

I think I would find a bra you like then try that with your dress and also try without and see which is most comfortable.

I get shy at the idea of trying my dress on without a bra, seen as someone has to help me in the dress lol

Haha, not a clue who's going to help me either, not sure my sisters could manage it so hoping my mam can at least get it fastened up nicely for me. Going to be terrified of ruining my hair when I put my dress on like
CommentAuthorAprilS61
Well the top of the dress will be designed to fit your body in over the head so as long as your head is in the centre when it's above you it should be fine if they keep it straight.

Yeah, wont be letting my MOH help me then haha

If your dress is strapless you should step into your dress rather than over the head so don't worry about your hair!

I took my bridesmaids undies shopping and found the perfect set in a department store, gorgeous, pretty and so comfortable. It is a set by Ch@nt3113.
