    Hey ladies,
so I never really thought, during planning, about transport because most the people coming have cars except my family. So I was thinking about hiring a HUMMER to take me and my bridal crew to the venue then them to the reception. Thing is some people seem to think hummers are quite 'cheap' :S . Just wanted your own personal opinions :)

Its YOUR day!! IF you like them then have one!

It doesnt matter if others think they are cheap as long as YOU have what you want :-)

I have to admit, I do roll my eyes when I see Hummers on the road- I personally think they are ridiculous and there are many other classier ways to arrive for your wedding. I also feel the same about pink limousines lol!

BUT that's just me and I'm not going to be there on your day judging you and if it is what you want THEN GO FOR IT! I'm sure it will be amazing and as it's on your day, you'll feel very special!

Hope you don't mind me being honest.

I would have to agree with Tinsel - but as she said its your day and do what you want - its very much about your own dreams not other peoples!

There are so many people out there who will tell you
    what you can't do.
What you have to do is turn around and say, "watch me"!!

I tend to agree with Tinsel - but that's just my opinion. Some people would probably think vw campervans are tacky - but that's what we had for our wedding. If you like hummers then go for it!!!

I see the practicality in hummers or limos, because you can fit your whole bridal party plus your dress in! :-)

lol well I went onto one of the sites I was looking at limos etc on and it looked kinda tacky for a wedding lol. Me and h2b have decided on:
    - if we are having the ceremony and reception etc in the hotel then a jag for me and bentley for him with a limo for the bridal party
    - if we are having the ceremony and reception in different places then taxis for the bridal party and a bently for h2b and rolls royce for me. then we will go off in the bentley

now dont know if taxis seem cheap. their nice done up here and would cost *atleast* £400 less that all the other transport lol x x

I think it is up to you, I have a car for me and my dad and a stretch Bently for my BM's as i have 6, x3 adult and x3 small, the car copnay are going to do 2 runs to the venue and as many runs as i need to the reception, for the wedding party only! as in BM's Ussers Grooms men and partents.
A hummer i do not think is Tacky, i think it is a choice for the person to make, and if you have a large number of BM etc then its a good way to get everyone there in one trip.
    Hope this helps

iv just had a thought (prob seem obvious) but when you all (bridal party) go to the ceremony together if it in a different place to the reception how do they get to the reception?? Do we organise a taxi or something or do we ask people with cars to take them or what?? cos i know me and ry would end up going off for pics in the transport that i (and bridal party) arrive in.

and i want a limo as they look cool!! well the inside does for the one im looking at it all leds and just looks partytime!!!

Yes you can either choose to have a separate car or get them to hitch lifts with the guests - sure someone can fit an extra! As it happens we're hiring a bus to take guests between venues so our bridesmaids will be jumping that too :-)
