Ive booked my wedding for 18/06/2015 in the dominican republic. Now thats officially booked i havent a clue where to start now. Me and my partner only want an after party when we get home for family and friends. But i just feel there is a million and 1 things rolling around in my head and unsure where to start. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks girlys :-) xx

Decide venue where you would like party. Look at a few before hand and narrow it down. Get prices on hire of all places you look at and if they do the food, table cloths, etc. in the price. Pick the date and book. Once you have decided on venue write a list of guests. That will help so you know how many you need to cater for. Choose colour you want. Think about invites. Then think about Music - DJ- juke box hire- band?
What colour scheme you want if you are having any
    Decorations
If you are having a pay bar
    Cake
    Photos
    and so on.

The best place to start is by reading the brides checklist at the top of the forum. Also brides and wedding magazines often have checklists in to help with step by step thing you need. You just need to do a little research in your area

Best places to start are things that get booked up quickly - more appropriate for your party when youre home

Ask a local travel agent who should be able to help if your getting married abroad

Read the brides checklist but also write down all your ideas, categorise them as wedding abroad and after party in the UK to help focus the mind.
