We have gone for 2-3.00 because we wanted to have time in the morning to make sure the venue was ready as well as having enough time to pamper myself and get my 3 kids ready lol.
plus i think this time is also perfect for the day to flow smoothly without the feeling of rushing everything!

I was thinking 2pm was the best time but now I'm thinking maybe I should go for little earlier to fit everything in! But a cival ceremony isn't as long as a church service so I think I could probab;y get away with either 1pm or 2pm

We're getting married at 11am to allow enough time for photos (photograher said it could take a couple of hours for photos) then we sit down to eat about 3pm then we have a scheduled nap time 6-7pm. We went to a wedding where they had this gap and we all had a nap and felt miles better for it and i want to be ready to take on the night do with as much energy as possible at our wedding. I am a bit worried that I might be rushed in the morning but I know I'll be up super early anyway so might as well start getting ready early!

@ frau, that is a great list of how things will go. we are having everything in the same place so we don't need to travel to a reception venue.

@ hayls, i do have most things done now can't really do much else until jan now.
how are the rest of your plans going?

we picked 1.30pm didnt want to feel rushed in the morning, even though I know am gonna be up early early early lol..... also didnt want to much of a gap between day and evening do so ppl who are not staying over in hotel are not just milling about waiting for evening do to start as they wont have a room they can go chill in and will just have to hang around the bar. Figure as am not great at having my picture took the quicker I can get that bit over with the better so 2 hours of photos would scare me to death lol..... x

Why you want to get married there, the 'connection' if its not your local parish church... ours was just an informal chat really, but the vicar had known my husband for years.

He might also ask you to attend church regularly or a marriage preperation course.
