We're having different types of Rum. My h2b thought people would think we were alkies but I convinced him by saying that EVERYONE coming to the wedding knows we LOVE rum! So who would be surprised!! hee! I love the keep calm ones though...... xx

Some awesome names on here! :) I'm a violinist so I want to name them after classical pieces, like symphony, concerto etc but h2b is yet to be convinced. I'm hoping when he sees my idea for music-themed stationary he'll go along with it lol!

I think ours will probably be a literary theme since we met through our English Studies degrees... i guess its just agreeing since we like different styles of writing, i love poetry while my partner prefers short stories - plenty of time to figure it out though! x

We havent 100% decided yet but definitely not 1,2,3,4 and top table!! We love Disney so may incorporate little bits into the day and one of which may be the table names, having the 4 as the 4 parts to Disneyland Paris with Main St USA as the top table! xx

I had thought to have them as books that we liked from birth until now. but 2 days ago we decided on having them named after songs that were in the charts that we liked when we meet and then having those songs played through are wedding breakfast

We are having dates throughout or lives with pictures of us in that year eg 1988 Pic of me at birth and h2b as 3 year old. Top table is going to be either 2009 as thats when we got together or 2012 as thats when we got engaged, not sure yet.

I haven't actually asked H2b about this yet as we've so much time left and I can just imagine him rolling his eyes at me! But I do like the "love" in different languages idea. Also there's a bit of a rose theme going through our wedding - not intentionally, I just love them - so thought I would look up names of roses to use maybe. I know there are loads of different ones but some are called things like devotion, sincerity etc. Only thing is people may just think I've picked random weddingy words....suppose could put a picture of each type of rose up beside its name.

A wedding I went to, the table names were of old fashioned couples. There was a picture of a couple from 1900's to 1930's on each table, and the table name was there names. And then in a frame beside the picture was a story about them. So romantic. It turned out the couples were actually just made up, but it was lovely!

I'm thinking of having famous couples as table names but not sure if It would go with my theme Im having purple/silver and butterflies but wanted something a bit different from everything else! I don't want boring numbers lol! Here's my ideas; Adam and eve Hansel and Gretel Cinderella and prince charming Bevis and butthead Romeo and juliette Beauty and the beast Wallace and gromit Batman and robin Fred and Wilma flintstone Laurel and hardy

We are having the 10 rareist butterfies in the world and our table is going to be called Glasswing.
We are going to ask our Venue if they would be able to get pictures of their butterfies that we could use as well (were getting married in a Zoo)

Not sure if posted in here before, but being the Disney freaks that we are...and having barely any disney in the wedding...just the odd hint somewhere somehow.... we're using the 5 areas of the Disneyland park.... The Top Table is Main Street The others will be Fantasy, Discovery, Adventure, Frontier....
If for some reason we need to add a fifth table then we will use the WDW parks instead, top table will be Magic Kingdom, then Hollywood Studios, Epcot, Downtown, Animal Kingdom, etc we shal see... but you get our drift xx

Ah it sounds really weird but h2b is a gas/heating engineer, and he's obsessed with talking about work so I thought as his own stamp on the day, to name the tables after different boiler manufacturers :) now I just have the fun job if actually finding frames to display them in :)

We werent going to bother with table names. We're not having table plans as there will only be 30 of us at the ceremony, and want it to be informal, with people sitting where they like, and moving seats as and when. But now Ive read this thread, I want to at least name the tables. Better get thinking!
