i think we will be having bird names to go along with the birdcage centre pieces and the bird detail favour boxes and stationary off to see the cake lady today found some lovely bird/birdcage cakes to show her.

Our wedding is the same weekend as Glastonbury... and as it is somewhere we have been together over the past couple of years we have decided to name out tables after the different stages. Although I am sure I will have a million more ideas before then. We are gutted we can't go as I stupidly booked the wedding then checked the date but it may be our only chance to sit on the pyramid stage :D

We got engaged on Christmas Day in Rome.....one of the first things i knew i wanted to have was the table names to be famous landmarks in Rome, the Fountain de Trevi where he proposed, Colosseum, Vatican, Spanish Steps etc
I even bought postcards of every landmark just in case i wanted to use them on the day in the centrepieces or on the seating chart or something. :)

im thinking car names, specifically old fords, mostly for the OH but a little bit for me too. just need to work out how to merge animals and cars (im animal mad and have quals in animal care, OH is a mechanic and old ford mad, we have one already and another coming soon) any ideas how to combine the two? Im probably going to have little bits of animal print here and there, bridesmaids sashes, ribbon around my bouquet, on invites. Ive also seen a cake topper which is two meerkats in bridal outfits, soooo cute! Maybe get a scale model of our car that fits with the size of the topper and have it on the cake? with old ford table names, im going to get him cufflinks with pics of our car on (ive found someone on bay of e who can put any photo onto cufflinks), he'll be arriving at the ceremony in our car ( polished to within an inch of its life! lol) not sure what else to do without it being too much

Other half is naming them to let him have his own wee thing as I have plenty that I know is more me than him in the wedding. Was pillers from a game, after he explained them it sounds great though I'm not going to attempt to explain lol. I got him a lightsaber for Christmas though so I think he's moved on to star wars for the mean time

I still don't know. I consider myself as creative and wealthy with ideas but none of the many I had is really winning me over. I feel like I am swamping this wedding with 'me' and it should be more 'us'.
I had another idea tonight and I think I like it - it's h2bs bday in 3 weeks and I'm giving him Lego Darth Vader cufflinks and I hope he wants to wear them at the wedding. If he does I'll wear light saber earrings and suggest to name the tables after Star Wars characters ... It's a total clash with the rest of the already clashing features of our wedding but the more it all clashes the more I love it. It's us!

we have decided today to scrap the P and Prejudice idea as hubby to be wasnt that keen and so he thinks looking at different eras would fit nicely but I thought this was a tad boring until we came up with a really creative idea. We are going to have on the front the era and the date e.g. jabobean and then on the back, there will be the link between that era and the venue. It took ages but I found out some amazing facts about crewe hall linked into the different eras. I just cant find one for edwardian so I had to go further back to when the first site was there but demolished in 1170 and just this second found the era instead of the monarch :)
