Siany.x The flights from Gatwick to Bologna have only cost £158 return for both of us!! We're then getting the train to Rimini, only about €60 return each??? Tickets to Moto GP €130 each. We're then exploring the rest of Italy :-) so will cost another few hundred euros. Wait until the Moto GP calendar comes out for next year then see which round is after the wedding??? Tho, they normally have a break in July :-/

we're having a hollywood theme so will be named after actors for his side and actresses for my side but they'll be classic people such as Audrey Hepburn Grace Kelly Marilyn Monroe Frank Sinatra etc. xx

Some lovely ideas :) Originally we were going to name each table after a word with 'table' in it, such as unforgettable, delectable etc. But now we have decided on 'Our First's' One table is our first home- with a photo of our house name on the table, another is the place we first met- with a google street view screen shot of the pub we met in, our first date is a scan of the concert ticket I took her to (Julie Andrews in Concert I may add! It's amazing she agreed to Marry me lol), our first holiday, our first song etc, the top table will be the first day of the rest of our lives. I spent ages editing the pictures but we are really pleased with them, completely unique to us. And when the guests check the table plan there will only be the description so they have to find the right photo to find out what our first everything was. Hoping they may wander round the tables to see what they all are :)

Although we've got ages to go yet, table names are something we've already decided.
I am originally from Stratford-upon-Avon (Shakespeare's birthplace) and long before I even met my fiancé, I liked the idea of having Shakespeare plays as table names, so after getting engaged I suggested it to Ed and he said "great idea."
Not sure exactly how many tables we'll need to have yet, but I estimate it'll be about 12, so the 12 names we'll use would be:
Cymbeline Romeo and Juliet Troilus and Cressida The Tempest The Winter's Tale A Midsummer's Night Dream The Tempest Love's Labour's Lost As You Like It Antony and Cleopatra Twelfth Night The Merry Wives of Windsor
The top table will be 'Much Ado About Nothing', because there is a character named Margaret in that, and that's how I got my name! My mum is into amateur dramatics, and her former am dram group did a production of MAAN, in which my mum played Margaret. It was about two weeks later, she found out she was pregnant, and she said if she was expecting a girl she'd use the name Margaret. :D

We are having an afternoon tea theme and I would like types of tea as our table names but every person I ask can only ever think of earl grey lol x so with 6 possibly 7 tables to name its not a great start lol x

We haven't quite decided yet - we are having a gingerbread theme a we are getting married three days before xmas and so will probably have xmas themed table names. Ideas we have are:

We are both big football fans and it is what brought us together really and we got engaged at Wembley Stadium too so would like to bring football in somewhere but not sure it relly goes with Xmas!!! Thought about table names of ex England managers or Nottingham Forest greats but I think I prefer the xmas themed names!

yeah, it's not essential to have table names, you can have table numbers instead, just people sometimes prefer table names as it makes it more personal and fits in with their themes xxx

We really struggled with this! We were going to just have numbers, as we're not having a theme, and just couldn't think of anything. Then I was talking to my mum about the holidays I've been on with my OH, and she suggested using the names of some of the hotels we've stayed at; they're all quite nice (Excellence; Valentin; Royal; Esmeralda; Sahara Sunset; Coco), and it means something to us, and we thought we could have a jokey 'competition' and see if people can guess the significance :-)

My H2B and I are both into music, and met through a choir, so we're linking that in. While we both have wide-ranging tastes, his favourite area is pop and mine classical, so tables that are predominantly his guests will have the names of famous pop musicians, and mine the names of famous classical composers and performers. Then we'll create a centrepiece for each table that reflects it's name (eg. Freddie Mercury might have a crown as the centre piece).

We hadn't even considered this but so far we've had a few silly ones!
Most people would be confused with 3 tables being almost the same but we considered a Monty Python reference of "Camelot" "Camelot!!" "Camelot... (It's only a model!)"
If anyone gets the reference of our other (more likely idea, as it is close to Hallowe'en!) we were considering "Baron Samedi", "Khufu", "Gevaudan", "Hellin", "Anne de Chantraine" and "Elizabeth Bathory" as our table names :3

I have been thinking about table names for a while now (I wasn't content with the standard 1, 2, 3 etc) and all my suggestions kept getting raised eyebrows from H2B (a sure sign that I've lost the plot). I even suggested football team names! But then we had an eureka moment the other weekend - we're going to Monaco for our honeymoon so we've decided to name the tables after the corners of the Monte Carlo GP: Tabac, Casino, Fairmont Hairpin and so on.

we have decided on having kilmarnock football players names as my h2b is a massive football fan and i kinda like the sound of some of the names!!! i will ok them first obviously heehee !!! cant think of anything else!! thought the ages idea is excellent, we were going to put some baby and young pics of ourselves around the table plan. what do people think of this idea? xx
