I think we might just be boring and have the top table, table 1 and table 2!

We want 2 long tables coming directly off the top table, so in a 'U' shape'.. don't think there would be much point in naming them if there are only 2. Depending on the guest list we might add a third table in the middle of the 'U', so if there are 3 tables I might name them. I like the idea of having names that mean something to you as a couple - i.e. your first street name, your first holiday destination together.

If you are worried people won't understand, maybe you could have something at the entrance or on the table plan with a little explanation of the names? x

Table names i have a few names i don't know how many tables i will have in the end till i know who is deffo coming to the wedding which wont be till September

Ours are memorable years as we are getting married on new years eve

We want to have to have countries we visited and are special to us - each table name list would be a plane ticket

We're going to have more tables than we thought now as we have changed the layout. I like the idea of naming the tables after something that means something to you and your OH... for example the name of the first street you lived in together, your first holiday destination/hotel that you went on etc.

We had albums that mean things to us. We just had the album covers on the tables which worked nicely as the signs.
The funniest one was named after the s£x pistols album "Never mind the B*ll*cks", I put my rowdy friends on that table and they certainly lived up the name. Someone wrote "B*ll*cks table yeah!!" on one of the pieces of the jenga guest book

As we're going away we are not having a table plan etc, just a party when we get back. I think we'd have done memorable places we've been together with a picture for each table though, something personal but relatable.

We're going with Medieval battles, and going to put a little info on the back of the card giving a summary - location, forces, key happenings, etc.

Gonna try to plan the layout so we can send each table up to the buffet in order of when they happened; that way we can go speak to some of our guests before they eat, and others after - as we know we'll not be able to speak to everyone during the drinks/photo bit!

The town H2B and I grew up in/live in/are getting married in is kinda the 'theme' of our wedding so our table names will be based around places in the town that mean a lot to us.

SIL and BIL had ales as their table names and had the appropriate beer mat on each table. My Sister had flowers

some fab idea's here we are having a vintage garden/tea party feel so our centerpieces are jam jars filled with candles and flowers, we haven't thought of a table plan at all and was leaning more to letting people choose where they want to sit so not sure if i would need table names if doing it that way?

Woodland animal as our theme is Autumn woodland so Squirrel, stag, badger etc

We are having a football theme because we are getting married at the club we support and have decided on naming the tables after trophies that our team have won over the years xx

Think we are either doing half Disney princesses and the other half teenage mutant ninja turtles or all teenage mutant ninja turtles not sure which one yet though x

The OH and I love going to London, so our table names will be places in London that mean the most to us. We're going to have the photos that relate to each place on the tables and an explanation of what it is and why it means so much to us. Top Table will be the ***5h@ngr!-1@ H0t31 in the *** 5h@rd, where my OH surprised me with a nights stay for my 30th Birthday <3

it took us forever to pin down what we wanted as we had tonnes of ideas to do with our hobbies

we have decided to go with Dragon Names from games and books etc, its a bit out there and a lot of people wont really get it but we think its a bit different and we love it!

We are having celtic tribe names for different regions of the country.

We are probably having wrestlemania locations we have been to - going to try and make themed snow globes for the table too - I may change my mind about that though!
