I have my make up trial on Wednesday and am trying to get some ideas to discuss with my make up artist and was wondering what people's opinions are on eye make-up? I know lots of people who go for the 'natural' look but I'm tempted to have coloured eye shadow. I normally do quite big eyes when I go out with lots of coloured shadow, so feel it's more me, but it doesn't really seem to be the done thing. Our colour theme is purple so I've been looking at purple eyes, what do people think? Did people wear coloured eye shadow or just keep it natural?

Mine was natural but have whatever you want and feel most comfortable in. Matching your colour scheme is a lovely idea.

if that's more you, then you need to go with that if that is what you want. ive no idea what im having yet, though id like something dramatic i think.... i dont see why it has to be natural. i hate how i look naturally lol, i look like a boy!

They can do a smokey eye with any colours that won't be full on if you want a bit of colour in there. Any professional make up artist though will ask like mine did, what your theme is and then will suggest some ideas that will go x

I always have smokey in shades of purple eyes and the rest of my makeup more natural. Will be having similar for the wedding. I want Chris to recognise me!

I tend to always go for natural colours, but it honestly depends what you feel comfortable in. If I could pull off coloured eye shadow, I certainly would go for it!

I am having smokey eyes - which is me. I dont tend to do bold colours on my eyes. Go for whatever you feel comfy with - after the trial if you dont like it dont have that in the end. I was told to try and have my make up the same as on the day when I go for at least one dress fitting, that way you can see how it works.

Have what you want it's your day, I tend to just wear liner and a little blush so I'm going to let the makeup lady do what she wants first and then ask for more if needed. We should all look wow on the day

Like you say bridal is normally more natural, but like i myself like colour, but instead of colour eyeshadow , im opting for a royal blue Eye liner flicks, which you could have in purple, i found P1ntrest helpful in this respect.
