I av 3 very different shaped bm's. And i was wondering wot shape to 'advise' them to get. I was thinking Empire as it looks nice and looks quite forgiving (not being mean. 1 of my bm's as just ad a baby and is very gifted in the chest area). Any suggestions gratefully received.

Could you get different style dresses in the same colour to show off their best bits?

I like empire lines too, I find them very flattering. One shoulder dresses can be good for different shapes and sizes, and are very fashionable for bm's at the moment.

I think it looks ok to have them all in the same colour but in a dress shape that suits them, as not all people look good in the same shape dress ;) x

I was going to go for maxi dresses too (still might if bms don't like the dresses I've bought). The one who has just had a baby can comfortably wear magic pants if she wants.

I saw some in quiz btw.

I have different shape and size bm.... one is a 10yr old beanpole, one is a rather large 16 yr old, a very skinny size 6-8 bridemaid who will be 29, and a short round size 20+ ...... I have gone for an A-line tea length dress with 1950s style flared skirt for all of them, strapless except for my daughter (age 10) who has spagetti straps. Lace up backs and pashminas to go with.... It suits all of them :D

i'm having 3 bm's all in the same colour but different styles. they've all got a line type bottom halves but the top bit on one is halterneck, the other is one shoulder and the third one has two straps/strapless (hse's not decided which one yet) They'll all that the same flowers and possibly same shoes as well so shouldn't look too wierd hopefully x

maxi or longer dresses seem to be best for most shapes and can be very flattering. I agree with some sort of line under the bust and then it flares out and just skims over hips etc

this is what we are going for, we THINK it will suit both the smaller ladies (sizes 10's and 12's) and the curvier ones (size 18 and 22)

not sure if it is of any help to you.
