To make a wedding memorable it doesn't necessarily have to be "different" as such. Look into any hobbies and interests that you and H2B have and try to incorporate these into your day... for example, myself and H2B are members on a car enthusiasts forum, so we're asking other members to drive us in their cars to our chosen venue, we were originally going to book the General Lee and Eleanor as our wedding cars, but when we looked into the cost it simply wasn't viable.
Also, look into events that have been memorable to the two of you, you may find some inspiration.
You can add personal touches by making things yourself, and I don't necessarily mean invitations... there are plenty of things that you can put your own spin on! People do tend to notice the personal touches!
