I have spent days trawling through various types of music to be played in the back ground during the Wedding Breakfast. What are others having played please?

We had couple of CDs playing that were very easy listening stuff .... You have to remember that no one will actually listen to it

We didn't have any ... it has to be quiet so no-one really notices if you have some anyway, and if it's too loud people will just talk louder so they can hear each other and drown it out!

The restaurant/bar at our venue plays jazz/easy-listening music through their PA system, and it's ideal as background music, so we're just having that. We want something in the background as I think it creates atmosphere, but we want it to be subtle and unobtrusive.

We're going for classical stuff during the breakfast which I'm picking, and H2B is putting together the list for the evening do which will be more pop style. I just went through my CDs and put it all into a playlist, which I'm cutting down based on what H2B and I like. ClassicFM have a set of CDs I think which have popular classical things on them.

My cousin didn't have any and we just ate and made conversation though if you are going to have music; I'd have soft easy going music which won't stop your guests having conversation or having to speak loudly.

We had a CD playing that I have in my collection. I have to admit it was who decided to just put on classical romantic piano music on in the background as it's just supposed to be neutral but i also love classical music and play the piano xx

we spent ages thinking of this and came up with a string quartet playing chart music which at home was amazing guessing what they were playing from lady gaga to greenday! but on the day i dont know if they played it or not everyone was talking and getting to know each other we could not hear it!

One BIG day will lead to lots of little happy days !!

Something mellow would be nice, but I doubt that anyone would really notice. They only time I've ever noticed music at a wedding breakfast was when it was provided by a pianist. TBH... I have a feeling I may have been one of the few to notice that he was there playing. While it was nice it wasn't a major talking point among the guests.
