Im having angry anderson- suddenly. My bridesmaid, flower girl and paige boy are going down first though. Could I have a different song for them?? Or would it be silly to do that?

Judith99, I was wondering about that too! I'm currently in love with Israel Kamakawiwo'ole's version of Somewhere Over The Rainbow and I'd like to walk down the aisle to that, but I also think I want something different to my bridesmaids and flower girl and I'm not really sure how you'd go about the transition? Or whether to just go with it and all walk down to the same song. xx

I heard it ages ago and loved it, and suddenly it popped into my head the other day and I looked it up and was like yep, that is definitely it! :) My dad thinks it would be funny if it stopped before we get to the end, did that weird dj rewind noise and then he thinks it would be absolutely hilarious if we cut in "Don't Cha" by the Pussy Cat Dolls... Cheers dad, eh?

How's everyone working out where their song will finish, as i don't famcy my song to just be faded out before it's even got going I'd rather start it a bit way through and have the big build up in it as I walk down but then don't want it to end before I've got there?! Lol I think we are going with book of love by Peter Gabriel

I love turning page Sleeping at last (played in breaking dawn) I don't like the voice of the singer tho, so will either have my sister or my MOH sing and record it for me or I will just use the instrumental. I'm concerned because it is quite a long song and we only have a short isle, however the song increases in intensity (listen to it and you'll know what I mean) so I can use that to time as the flower girls walk down, then the bms then have me walk down near the end of the song, well that's the idea... for now....

Going to have Wonderwall by Oasis, with our friend playing it on guitar and singing so he can adjust the tempo and number of verses choruses etc.
OH loves Oasis and I really like them too so has a bit of meaning for us.
My mum and one of bridesmaids aren't so keen though but as I have to keep remembering it's our wedding not theirs lol
The other options I quite fancied were Kissed by a rose by Seal, and Thank You by Led Zeppelin.
Also really loved the Piano Guys version of A Thousand Years, but OH thought it was too soppy and likely to make us cry, so we went for a song that makes us really happy and brings back memories of gigs instead :-)

We've hired a famous Czech folk band called PerKelt for our music and they are learning music from Skyrim. (To those who aren't familiar, Skyrim is a game. An awesome game.)

I'll walk down the aisle to the main theme song being played in a folk style. (Examples of the theme are on Y*u*ube.

Is anyone having a church wedding with music rather than the organ playing them in?

I was toying with the idea of what song to play and got shot down saying that it's a church and I should have the traditional here comes the bride which I find a bit corny

I'm classically trained so used to study music, choosing was fairly straightforward as generally I know a lot of classical pieces and obviously have my favourites etc.

There were loads of pieces I had in mind so just listened to them all and tried to imagine what it would feel like walking to them.

Well I've been scouring our singers set list and I think I've decided on Eva Cassidy's Songbird - really love this song.

I'm not telling anyone "in real life" my choice (other than the entertainers who will be playing/singing it). We're not having many surprises on the day so it'll be good to have something that's for everyone.

Steph - we don't have any songs really. I've just gone with songs I like as OH doesn't really "care" about music. He listens to it but doesn't seem to have a band/style/song that he really loves, where as I get totally emotionally attached to songs!

I am still really struggling with this. We're definitely doing walking out after the ceremony to Stevie Wonder - Signed, sealed, delivered and our first dance to John Legend - All of me but still need to choose one to walk down the aisle to and another 1/2 to play whilst we sign the register. It's so hard!

I'm toying with the idea of coming down to Yiruma "it's your day" as everyone has river flows in you. We want one of our signing of the register songs to be "come and get your love" by redbone (from guardians of the galaxy) as we're hoping it will break the emotional side of things! Our first song will be to Robin schulz "waves" - I'm not entirely sure why this is our song but we both love it and it's been "our song" since we first heard it - it has good memories for us :-) just got to try and slow the beat down a little bit somehow so we can dance to it!
