I am attempting to make my backdrop for behind the top table (200 pound to hire seems a lot) and I was wondering if anybody knows what fabric would be best to use, I was thinking it looks like tulle but if anybody knows better I would appreciate it.

It depends on quality as well. It may be better to spend more money on a much better material xx

Wow, making your own. I really wish I could do something like that.
We are paying £300 for a 9 metre starlight back drop.

Looking forward to becoming the 3rd and last Mrs McLauchlan

I'd second the voile or chiffon :) Check out the bay and other places to buy rolls or bolts of fabric wholesale x

Love this post!!! I've been toying all week trying to find some thing to cover the back wall to where my venue is going to be... for the sake of being light I thought maybe a voile held up with bamboo on some hooks of some sort
Not got too far in the process really.... not without nearly killing myself falling off a chair x

the ones I have looked at have made them out of piping and elbow parts from b@ndq, it looks somewhat simple. Or if you have a frame (door frame or something) maybe a shower curtain pole. I'm going to have a play around and see what i can do x
