I am probably having a cathedral length veil, as the train on my dress will be cathedral length. If I didn't have a cathedral length, I would have fingertip length.

Also, who is having a 'blusher' over their face?

i have bought a finger tip no blusher but dont know if i will wear it... dont think it will look ok with new dress.

I'm having fingertip with a blusher :-)

I'm only 5'1 so a cathedral looked too long on me - the dress has a chapel length train though - I thought the cathedral veil would be too cumbersome to have on all day, and I didn't want to pay that much for a veil to take it off after the service! So hopefully the fingertip is a nice compromise :-)

@bridalmiss That is what I am worried about. I am only 5 foot 4 inches, so I think having a cathedral length veil with a big princessy lace dress with sleeves might swamp me in masses of lace and tulle! I haven't tried any veils on with my dress yet, so we will see. But if I look silly, I think I will go for a fingertip veil with a blusher too. x

I'm trying to decide between none at all, birdcage or maybe chapel cause I don't want my dress to have a train at all.

With my hair being so short and fine though, I'm not sure I can be dealing with a massive veil. Need to buy my tiara to help me decide!

I'm not having a veil at all. As i've been married b4, i decided that this time i'm not having anything the same as I had the 1st time round (because it was such a terrible marriage). I want everything to b completely different this time & 2 start with I know this time it's forever x

Im having a floor lenth veil with no blusher. it come free with my dress and looks perfect together. It has little dimantees on

Nope Kirsty it's purely your choice! Personally I'm thinking that if it's costing about 100 for a veil I'm wearing it all day and night!!

I like the idea of wearing a veil all day, i think i will feel more 'bridal'!! I agree with bridalmiss too, they are expensive so its a shame to only wear it for an hour. x

Mine was £150 but the bridal shop said I could have it free, she cried when she saw it on with the so she said I could have it. The dress was £995. I would like to wear mine all day too

Birdcage veil. But haven't quite decided yet - I always wanted a huge bow on my head with a birdcage veil coming down to my nose tip. But I found a hat on ebay I loved and it was an impulse buy (only £11) - it's quite a statement piece and would certainly turn heads but I think I can't let go of my big bow dream. The hat is much bigger than I thought - it's an ivory top hat with a big bow at the back and a birdcage veil at the front. Good reminder to take a pic!

Mine will either be a shoulder of elbow length one, my mothe wants me to have the elbow length one, havent tried a shoulder length yet.

Not sure if I'll wear it over my face yet though...see what my mum says haha!

No veil for me. Never pictured myself in a veil and I think it will be too much as I'm having a bolero as well as my dress. Completely happy with my decision but am thinking that my h2b is expecting a veil as he's made a couple of comments about it recently which is making me slightly worry as to what he is expecting!?!

I didn't want a veil initially but have ended up with two! i have a cathedral one for the church and then for the reception(because i still want to wear a veil but a cathedral one would get in the way)i have a fingertip one! I will be wearing a blusher over my face as i walk down the aisle x

im having a beautiful chapel length veil (i think) its slightly longer than floor length and sits at the end of my smallish train on my dress. it has diamanté on it and about 2 three different layers. not decided if im gonna wear the small one over my face when i walk down the isle but it does look nice.

must say never wanted a veil but when they put it on me it just completed my dress. I loves it so much, wont be taking it off all day after all it cost me £285 quid so gonna get my money's worth haha.

took me ages to goole all them veils had no idea what they were lol! xx

I've heard that you can get a small loop added to your veil so if you want you can bustle it just like your dress for the evening!

I'll be having a shoulder length one I think cos I have a lot of detail on the top half of my dress and I don't want a longer veil to distract from that. I've tried on a few already but still not bought one yet.
