    Hi brides,

I'm new here, pretty much whole wedding planned with the big things, but it's little things I'm down to now and this is really bugging me!

So this is where I am:

I have my dress, see the link on my wall <3

I have some jewellery that was my late Mother's, which is antique yellow gold and amethyst. (how to post a photo I don't know??) Our wedding colours are purple and gold. it doesn't sound like it would go with my dress but it does, as the gold is old it's not bright yellow, and the amethyst is very light. (my dress is blush pink)

However my engagement ring is platinum, and my wedding ring will be white gold, also see my wall. (I will be wearing my engagement ring on my right hand when married as I don't want the platinum to rub down the white gold).

I'm worried that the gold jewellery won't go with my silver coloured wedding ring or engagement ring. I do usually wear silver coloured jewellery but I like the idea of wearing the heirlooms and that they're also the wedding colours, also they do like nice with my dress...

If I wasn't to wear the heirlooms I have a lovely pendant H2B got me which is a large white gold teardrop with a crystal in the middle. I could wear plain stud diamond earrings I have or get something new to match, not sure.

Also just a bit of fun - if you were me, what would you put with my dress?! I'm intrigued as to what others would choose. Style wise I like bohemian, hippyish things or sparkly, not so much into pearls. I have a shoulder length light blush veil (very subtle basically ivory) and will have fresh flowers in my hair (my hair is long and will be half up half down), dark purple flowers, antique pink and ivory roses. my shoes are gold heels but you can't really see them under the dress.

    Thanks! X

    Your dress is gorgeous!
I had a maggie as well.

I would go for a drop pearl necklace with rose pearl and a bit of bling.
J0n r1(h@rd do some gorgeous costume jewellery
Eg this set is £12 for earings and £25 for the necklace.

Thanks, I really love my dress :-) wasn't planning on a coloured dress but fell in love when I tried it on. Plus it was an absolute bargain!

Yes I have looked in Debs and like some of the JR stuff. I really like that first necklace you posted. But yes, am not planning on pearls.

Might try and upload a photo of my mum's jewellery to photo bucket or something...

You should be able to upload a photo into your albums and people can see them in there :) If you're happy to, that is.

If they go, then I personally (being a sentimental type) would go with wearing your mum's jewellery. I think with it being your neck and your hands, the two are far enough away that there shouldn't be any obvious "clash" of white gold and gold. Although it probably wouldn't look as bad as you think anyway. My engagement ring was my partner's grandmother's and it's gold and platinum, an idea that would usually drive me insane, but I love it. They go.

I think depending on the style of the jewellery they should be fine together, and I think the idea of wearing like you say a family heirloom is just really lovely.

Try to post the pic to your album X I would tru your outfit on with your moms. Looking at the dress I thunk the gold would go love,y. And don't think the rings will matter too much. I have one ring on one hand which is yellow gold (my great grandmothers engagement ring) and my white gold engagement ring on the other and it doesn't bother me at all X
    I love your dress x

Thanks Myranny, ooh you're an Aug 2016 bride too? Yey!

I just figured that out too lol silly me. I've Uploaded photos now of all possible jewellery, wedding colours etc.

That's what I'm really hoping re. Ring and necklace being far enough away.. I also bought a bracelet which has all the colours in, and attached a pendant of mum's to that too (in my photo album)

    X x

Maybe I'll get away with it because the bracelet has all the colours in. (and I've just realised it actually has a few pearls in too haha)

Wow, the heirloom jewellery is gorgeous!

I don't think it'll clash, there's a nice mix of colours and textures that it'll go with almost anything else x

Stunning dress. I love it. I wouldn't worry too much about your jewellery not matching. I'll be wearing white gold engagement and wedding ring and yellow gold and pearl earrings and bracelet to match the hair piece I've brought. Also borrowing a gold ring from my Mum for the day. I think your Mother's jewellery sounds lovely and will be a perfect match for your dress.

Your dress is really lovely and I think that your Mum's jewellery compliments it perfectly. A good way to have her with you on the day.

Looking at the pictures, I would definitely go with your mum's jewellery, i think it goes absolutely perfectly with your dress, colours and everything, and you won't even notice it with the ring. :) xx

i don't think it matters too much if the rings dont match the rest of your jewellery, people won't really notice I don't think

So here are my rings and my hair vine. The earrings and bracelet I haven't purchased yet but they will definitely be similar to shown to match the vine.
