I know it is hard to say as it all depends on style, type of flowers, how many etc
BUT I was wondering if anyone could give me a ball part figure of what to expect.

We are trying to budget hard now before booking appointments and to know roughly what to expect would be great
Obviously I still have some time to sort this but trying to get organised after a few months "off" wedding stuff!

Going fairly simple, no fussy or exotic flowers
    Me, MOH, 3 BM's
6 tables of something simple (bunch) in a fish bowl (will add photos as sounds silly!)
    top table, no idea yet
    button holes x 7
    corsage x 5

We are having rose's with winter berries, no nothing too fancy.

We are paying £55 for my boquet
    £25 per bridesmaid boquet
£2.50 each for the men's button holes
£3.50 for the ladies buttons holes
    £15 per table decoration
    £35 for the top table.

Hope that gives you an idea, we found this to be one of cheapest x

im paying about 1150 to the florist and then doing additional flowers myself (2 candelabra arrangements and pew ends). For this we are getting:
    1 shower bouquet @ £150
    3 BM posies @ 65 each
    3 corsages @ 10 each
1 long and low - paid for in venue price so not included in this price.
5 large center pieces @100 each
    5 buttonholes @5 each
    2 pedestals
    1 birdcage
    2 candelabra rentals,
    50 chair covers with sashes.
Im pretty sure we are getting ripped off but not much we can do about that!

If you want fish bowls, I am sure that a lot of florists do these in a venue package for about £70 to dress the whole table and provide fish bowls and flowers i.e. chair coveres etc.

cant wait to be Mrs Evans less than 3 weeks woooo
    start weight 10st 1.5 lbs
    weight now 8st 4.5 lbs
total loss to date: 24.5 lbs now need to maintain!

I wanted quite simple flowers and designs, so have gone for a mixture of sunflowers and daisies. I got a mixture of quotes between £200 and £600, but got on well with the first florists I met who got exactly what I was after. So I am getting the below for £226:

1 x informal hand tied posie (miniature sunflowers, camomile daisies & white stocks), opened stems (£40)
3 x informal posies of mini sunflowers (£25 each)
    1 x sunflower button hole (£3.50)
5 x rose & ivy detail button holes (£4.50 each)
8-9 x jam jars filled with alternate sunflowers and daisies (£20 max per table)

However, this isn't really a good guide as I'm not having a top table so no need for any decoration there, no corsages for the mothers, no flowers needed for cake and the registry office is already decorated with flowers and I'm not particularly bothered with what flowers they use there, as we'll only be inside the room for 15mins lol. Also haven't added any thank you bouquets yet, so that will obviously push it up.

I was extremely confused with the variety of quotes I got - some which I found completely bonkers. Watch out for extra charges like set up, clear away, delivery etc. The florists I'm using include set up (can't remember about clearing away, but it's not on my quote so I imagine that's included too) and because they only live down the road from where I'll potentially be getting ready, there's no charge for my bouquet/bm's posies to be delivered. I think ultimately, you want to go for someone who feel comfortable with, who understands what you want and won't try to navigate you away from what you want - I met one florist who without saying it outright, didn't quite like my simplistic view on things and kept throwing in all these other flowers and making my bouquet about three times the size that I wanted!

I would probably say about £300 ish. I am paying bout £150 for:-

    1xbridesmaid posy (silk)
1xbrides shower bouquet (silk with fresh foliage)
    1xtop table arrangement (real)
    5xbuttonholes (silk)

Our venue is doing the center piece flowers which are floating gerberas in tall martini glasses.

It depends on the florist really.

Ours is only delivering the top table arrangement and putting it on the table for us for nothing. we are collecting the rest the day before.

    Hope this helps a bit.

    Thank you ladies
    This does help
I forgot to add that i have bought the fishbowls and mirrors from a friend that got married last year so only need to pay for the decs to go in them
Wow suzky123! That quote would have me falling off my chair!

We get married in the same room as the wedding breakfast so the lovely wedding ladies at the hotel do the room change so I will make sure the florist does not charge set up fee's (good tip!)

My friend has also suggested the man on the market as she had a quote at £750 and he halved it for exactly the same flowers!!!
Guess I better get printing some pics off and paying him a visit!

budget hmmm. Budget started at 8, then 12, then 20, now we stand at over 25K (with extras mil2b has brought that she wont reveal the cost for e.g. stationary and sweetie buffet) so a massive jump as we kept changing our minds. However, that does include a honeymoon and we got a bargain on the rings as they should have been double the price.

in terms of budget tho its irrelevant, it really does just depend on what you want. My friend had a stunning wedding on 5-6K I think and it was beautiful Another has done similar for 12k so make sure you shop around as the weddings were almost identical and such a huge price difference.

In terms of weight, I started off on WW but never found time to go to classes and got fed up of counting points. Therefore, I then looked at making sure I stayed at about 1200 cals a day. i have been off and on for months as I lose motivation but luckily by the time I re-start, I am at least in a better position than before. i think I lose motivation as I am lucky and dont really need to lose much at all but thats bad as I do lose motivation ALL of the time. However with 5 weeks today to go and my dress ordered in a stupid size I HAVE HAD to stick to it for the last couple of weeks. The dress will now fit at the weight I am as I was 8st upon ordering and got told to gain to 8st 7 but ballooned to 10st haha! I fully enjoyed that tho.

How much do you need to lose? I can give you an idea of what I eat each day if you need it.

Our budget started at £5k but we are more than likely around £6500
It does depend what you want but also what you can afford
We have done it in reverse, the children came first and the wedding last!

You have done really well wiht the weight loss!
    I want to lose anywhere between 1st & 2st
Friend's are telling me 2st will make me look too thin as I am naturally curvy (hour glass) so even if I was 7st i would still have a set of hips on me!

I will be happy at the 9st 7lb mark

An idea of what you eat on a normal day for 1200 calories would be fab
With Matt working Sunday to Thursday evening, I will struggle to get to meetings too
Although S.W has caught my attention due to lots of friends joinging and having amazing weight loss in not too much time!

wow thats funny because I have the exact same issue. I have a 22 inch wait but hugemongous hips i.e. size 0 wait but size 10 hips. I have been as low as 8st before and it does not help. I would just lose a bit and then a bit more and just see where you want to settle. You dont want to see what happened to me when i was adament that IT MUST come off thighs (it didnt) so kept dieting but it came off face instead. I looked old!

I have a bowl of cereal in the morning, about 11 I have a WW yog,
For lunch I have either a low calorie tuna and cuc sandwich or a bowl of soup.
For tea if Im being lazy I have a 400 cal or less micro meal. If I am being sensible, I have either chicken or fish with 150g pots and veg, or I make a VERY low cal thai red curry using the sharwoods red curry paste and Good for you beef with a small bag of ub rice, or I do 100g pasta with 8-10 king prawns in a tomato and chilli sauce, or make a low cal chilli con carne or low cal curry. You can make a really nice lamb caserole by getting reduced fat lamb and putting loads and loads of veggies in and serving with 150g mashed pots with caul and broc on the side. YOU WILL gain water weigh the next day but then see a big loss the day after that. I ALWAYS without fail lose weight after doing the king prawn pasta one. Not sure why,

Well I went to the florist today
Lisa "got it" striaght away and played about with a few flowers to show me!!!
I'm so happy and feel so confident in her that I don't want to get any other quotes....is this silly of me?

Well, this is what we are looking at price wise
Large tied posy for me - £50
3 tied posy's of gyp (inc ribbon) - £20 each (thought this was a bit high for just gyp but hey ho)
MOH either sheath of mini cala lilies or a large wrist corsage - £15-£20
Flowers for bridesmaids hair - £13.50 (for all 3)
Centre-pieces between £5 -£12 depends on what we choose but its likely to be £10 per table (6 tables)
    4 x button holes @ £6 each

We forgot to add on MOB & MOG corsgaes so im guessing another £15-£20 for them

    So total (guide estimate) £260

    What do you think?
No delivery or set up charges
