I have been looking forward to my wedding since I was a bridesmaid at 3 years old and now its coming up I am so excited. The problem is I am really worried I won't enjoy it as much as I am expecting to.
We had an engagement party and I spent all night trying to get round everyone and as such didn't really enjoy it all that much and I am really worried the same is going to happen again at the wedding. Everythng is coming together to make it my dream day but I am dreading not being able to relax and enjoy myself because I will be too busy trying to talk to everyone.
Does anyone else feel like this or does anyone have any tips on how to avoid this?

i guess the trick is not to feel you have to talk to everyone, the last wedding i went to i think the guests all kinda grabbed a word when they could im sure you will enjoy it :) xx
Is now happily married to my gorgeous man

Yeah I would try and relax and let people come to you. Sure you are expected to mingle, but really try not to spend the whole time worrying about who you haven't spoken to yet etc etc. Most people at a wedding will make the effort to come and speak to you, so it's not really your "job" to run around after everybody.
People are there to share and celebrate your day with you and see you get married, not to each grab their own personal 5 minutes of your undivided attention.
So many brides say that the day seemed to rush by without them realising. Make sure to take at least a moment (or many!) to soak it all up and enjoy!
I have kinda the same worry, or the opposite that I'll get caught up dancing away and enjoying myself and forget to talk to enough people - LOL
"Of course I'm not wedding obsessed!!"

why not do what the Americans seem to do and have a line up before the reception then everyone has been greeted and you can concentrate on enjoying yourself.

I am thinking this to but i a sure people will understand if you dont get to talk to them. Plus you are ment to enjoy your day and not have to worry so people will expect you to be having fun not running around in heels and a dress

When did you do the line up Becca? At the afternoon or evening? We have a lot more people coming in the evening than in the day but they will prob arrive at different times.

I don't know if I talked to all the evening guests, but we talked to the day guests by going round the tables between courses. Toptable got served first, so we had finished before everyone else and had loads of time.
