I am being really dumb and getting very nervous about this... We have booked to go and see the registrar the end of this month to meet her and I'm just wondering 2 things really
1. I haven't got a passport does that matter I have a driving license... 2. Do they still ask you all the questions about why you want to get married??? And if they do what do u say to them??

you need a full birth certificate and your mothers birth certificate to prove nationality, i wasnt asked why i wanted to get married they just ask you all your partners details, date of birth, occupation ect x

its not dumb i panicked about this too but it was really simple . they should have given you a list of acceptable proofs of i.d. i'm pretty sure if you dont have a passport you need your full birth certificate aswell. as for the quetions i was simply asked my details and other halfs detail i.e name address d.o.b etc was stuff you know and no pressure then they asked him the same about me to see if it matched up. checked i.d then printed out some stuff to sign about being honest etc really nothing to worry about and was great to meet the registra and when its done you get a pack to start choosing vows etc very exciting!
One BIG day will lead to lots of little happy days !!

I was concerned about this too but I was just asked full name of me and H2b, if either have been married before, our occupations, fathers names and fathers occupation as well as venue and date.

Just be honest. I was unsure what sector my Dads job came under and I just said I wasn't sure described what his job was and the lady asking me wasn't sure either lol!
