Well we booked our venue a couple of months ago and signed the contract and have also paid the deposit. Just wondering what happens now, do we go and see them at some point to talk about things? Is it nearer the time? And do we contact them or will they get in touch with us? X x

It can depend hun on the package deal you have with the venue. i need to pay the remaining balance 8 weeks before the wedding. & see the wedding co ordinator 12 weeks before the wedding for a menu taster etc. Also to discuss final plans.

We got married away from home - but the venue told me I could ring if I had any questions/ideas. And because we were handing in our M10 forms 3 months before, we drove to the venue to sort out menu choices, seating plans etc. We could've done this nearer the time but it was easier to do in person.

I might ring them then and ask when we need to go for the menu tasting. Thanks guys x x
Ours said in our contract what would happen when. We're not having a tasting but they've said to get in contact with them 8-10 weeks before the wedding to finalise things xx

We would email the venue regularly with questions along the way. Then we organised our menu tasting about 4 months before, and then 3 weeks before the wedding we had our final meeting with the venue co-ordinator about the day. Almost everything was outlined in our contract.

When you have your tasting it might be a good time to ask them about their timeline for planning (decorations, layout, etc)
