In my area when I first got engaged at end on 2011 there was loads of wedding fairs , that were free and had alot of suppliers etc, but now that im wanting to actually look realistically and to book there seems to be none in my area. The one that I really wanted to go no longer does them as I don't really want to have to travel outside Teignbridge to Exeter or Plymouth as I want local people!

Ah that really sucks :( to be honest I dont really find them that helpful, the only thing I thought was good was to meet the photographers but everything else I've mainly found online or from a recommendation x
CommentAuthorBeckyU98
i find that once you've been to one you have been to them all! could you speak to some suppliers? you can generally find good dates from them x

I think the wedding season has passed now, you have plenty of time before youre wed so i'd get a couple in next year.
THere's a little thing on this website that you can go on too to find wedding fayres xxx

I fond a lot start around september/October when they can run them over a weekend when they have less bookings! I was wondering when debs were going to run another though. Hmm.

I heard that a company that did do wedding fayres around Exeter and Plymouth area, has stopped it all now, and another company had to try and sort it all out, as apparently it all just stopped all of a sudden. Re reading that and that sounds confusing but hopefully you will understand haha I live in Plymouth Xxxx

I totally love wedding fayres, even when i have everything sorted and dont need anything more it just makes me feel special and excited. Especially when you get free champagne and goody bags!! xx

I can't stand wedding fairs! I've been to two and the amount of crap to get given is sooooo irritating... And the vendors either won't talk to you or are so overbearing that they need a slap! X
Ill marry my hero

Most of the ones I saw advertised in my area were in February and March then again in October and November. Hubby and I went to one in February but found it was really just a sales fayre for suppliers. Apart from our car company everything else we found online or through recommendations x

Good point IDL. The only fairs I'm interested in are at venues that I'm thinking of booking.

I hated the hard sell that I came across at the fayre. All the bridal dress stalls said to me that I should start looking straight away and that I'd look great in any dress. I just thought oh please, I'm not stupid and falling for your fake lying heavy sales techniques. Really wound me up. Then other suppliers who said their dates were filling up fast and so I should book straight away because oh surprise our date was still available but they'd had a few queries for the same date. Grrrrrrrr.
