I went wedding dress shopping last week for the first time and absolutely love a dress that is a kind of goldy colour (pic in my Kudos photo album, and looks better on than in the pic!).
I'm just wondering now if I will be able to find a bridemaids dress colour that will go with it, or if I should try and get a dress the same colour.
Any suggestions?

Lots of colours go with gold but royal or navy blue, red, chocolate brown, emerald green, cream, darker gold, black.. All of those would really pop with your dress!

Thanks girls! I like the idea of an emerald green colour. Think that might go well. Would be easy to tie that into the wedding flowers too.

I'm wearing a gold dress and my bridesmaids are wearing dark claret red dresses with scarlet petticoats and shoes. You can tone in pretty much any warm colour (and you get warm blues and greens) and I love the idea of matching bridesmaid dresses.

i have a gold dress ( pic in album ) and my bridesmaids are wearing shocking pink ( pic also there i think if not tou can find them in my "diary of a mod bride" thread )
I didn't think I would get away with most colours but after looking at ur pics and thinking about it, I think u could prob make almost anything work. Will maybe just let my BM have a say and see what she wants to wear. Xxx
