what are you girls and guys doing to make your big day a bit different and to give it the WOW factor???
CommentAuthorPrincessLJ
I'm having pyro thingy's coming our of our centre pieces at the end of the best man's speech :) x
CommentAuthorJuicy Lucy
tricky! i'm being very involved with every part of it, making the cakes (cupcakes), making the stationary, the favours, the table decorations etc etc. And anything i'm not doing is being done by friends and family so it should be very personal, i'm not sure about wow! though. I do intend to treat my guests very well, good food, money behind the bar, nibbles and games and shots on the tables etc!

i forgot to say mine.lol well i am a very girly girl but also i like to shock people/be a bit different (in a good way.lol) so instead of a traditional wedding car we are having a VW camper van it's an origional 1965 in off white converted so there are bench seats in the back. We have always said that our wedding song would be everything by micheal buble, we were thinking of hiring a wedding singer but none of them sound right, we ahve a friend who is an amazing singer and we are hoping he will do it for us (he is also very gorgeous so it will keep my single girly friends happy) he is also a professional magician and is amazing with card tricks and he has said he will keep the other guest entertained. he is a very generous friend. also hoping to finish the evening with fireworks/sky lanterns. have a few more ideas up my sleeve too :)

oooh btw, with pyros be really aware that they create mega dust!!!!
i dont think mine has anything that gives the wow factor, but i love everything we have decided on and just want it to run smoothly x
I have know my soulmate for 27 years and on the 6th August
I married him and became Mrs Garnham.
It was most definitely the happiest day of my life.
I love married life !!!!
CommentAuthorPrincessLJ
i know about the dust, i had them at my 21st, bobbysgirl, they are indoor fireworks and you can have them round the dance floor, or in your centrepieces, or they can do outdoor displays for you too :) x

i suppose our biggest wow factor is our venue, when u walk in to it your jaw just hits the floor. when it comes to the rest am hoping that everybody goes wow with my dress as its completelty not what people would think i would wear. we are having fireworks, chocolate fountain, singer, caracutrist. bascially am hoping that the whole day everybody just goes wow lol, we have little touches that i have made myself which i hope people really like, like our confetti cones, our favours and my shoes xx
cant wait to renew my vows, love my hubby sssssooooo much xx
CommentAuthorbobbysgirl
we haven't chosen a venue yet i just know that i want it decorated with loads of fairy lights and morrocan lanterns with candles, so it looks really magical :)

CommentAuthorMrs Joyce
my wow factor is the fact that to my family/guests it is a very beautiful and expensive wedding venue but when they realise my budget is £3000 and im coming in under budget everyone always says wow!

CommentAuthorohfiddles

CommentAuthorCeCe
Attention to detail, NOT going OTT with decorations...thinking of your guests and making them feel spoilt...making the most of your venue.
CommentAuthorGoff

I don't know about the wow factor - but h2b reminded me tonight that all the guest are going to be expecting me wearing black (99.9% of my wardrobe lol) - so they'll get a shock when I walk down the aisle in my ivory dress ;-)

i think my venu and meal plans are going to wow everyone (all his family and mine are expecting buffets) we are having a 3 course 4 star sit down meal as our wedding breakfast but befor all that we while we have photos we are serving canepes and a glass of pimms to all guests and hopefully will have a bouncy castle and all guests have a photo opp (we are lending a friends camera) to take pics of the bouncing away on the bouncy castle we are also concidring firworks of shinese lanterns to send off on the night and i dont think any of out guests will be expecting free drinks other than the toast but we have worked it out at 5 free drinks each i think that is more than generous and no one wil expect a hog roast on the evening (they all expect a buffet ) and we are having vegitairian food for our one veggi guest lol but our cake is going to wow everyone not telling anyone about it not even the parents lol we are having a tower of cupcakes with question marks on them and cascadingsweets going down them and for the top cake we have it covered in mock poison ivy and question marks and diamonte no the question marks and our bride and groom on top will be us dresses as the riddler and poison ivy off batman (it all ties in with our theme!(a childs dream) ) a local cake shop can do wonders if you just ask lol it will look better than it sounds ill make sure to take pics to show you all i have so many things i think gives our wedding a wow factor
CommentAuthorJenny1966
I think our WOW factor was the fact we both actually showed up lol We had both been very adamant in the past to our respective families that we would never ever contemplate another marriage!! But when you meet the one, all that changes, and our families couldn't have been happier :o)

i think just looking at 2 people really in love getting married gives it that wow factor.
CommentAuthormrs pinkalice
I hadn't thought about this...i'm hoping the whole venue in general as i think its beautiful. and the fairlights, candles and lanterns will look all pretty :) and if i win the lottery anytime soon then fireworks as well!
CommentAuthorauntiewoo
Don't know about the wow factor-think we will have the woah factor-especially from the older guests-when our punk band start to play! :)
CommentAuthorLucie
see this is the bit that worries me! i want everyone to have a great time and to remember the day for all the right reasons but worry about it not being a good day for the guests...
CommentAuthorKimi
TBH the fact I'm bothering with an actual wedding should make it a WOW as my two sisters never bothered one sneaked off and had a private church wedding and the other got married in a registry office with a meal in local restaurant and photos taken in local park.
I have what I want big white dress, suits, lovely venue and all my family and friends around. I mean I'm happy for my sisters that they got married and are happy with what they did but its not for me.
The days are flying by, can't wait :)
CommentAuthorangeleyes
we're getting married at the ZOOOO :D
CommentAuthorKimi
Ooooh can you ride the tigers???? :p
The days are flying by, can't wait :)
CommentAuthorangeleyes
haha erm nope. but i have joked about feeding the mil2b to them instead!
CommentAuthorKimi
lol. I like my MIL so I wouldnt want to feed her to the tigers, plus I love tigers anyway I'd spend too much time awwwing instead of paying attention to getting married so I think it's a good idea that I'm NOT getting married at a zoo. :)
The days are flying by, can't wait :)

Yeah I'm pretty gothic in my colour choices (Black, grey, red, purple) the fact I'm wearing white for my wedding is almost a miracle.
