Ok i havent even really been on holiday (unless you count visits to family) and i have never been abroad so this could make me sound really really dumb but what are you supposed to do on a honeymoon... well except the obvious of enjoy each others company but there is only so much hotel walls i suppose you could take before it drove you nuts. Im sorry if this is a obvious question but as i have no idea what u do on a holiday so im stuck on where to go.

Our honeymoon was packed with things to do, mainly appointments as we got married in cyprus.
But we also went to the zoo which was lovely, went out for walks and meals.
We also had a sunset photo shoot which was lovely.
There are lots of daytrips that can be done but we were on a tight budget x

We've got ours coming up on a resort in the Maldives which has lots of trips, excursions, spa and activities plus a dive centre and 6 gourmet restaurants, all depends on what you want to do! We also had a mini moon in Marrakesh where we went trekking up the Atlas mountains one day, around the markets another and the last day just lazing by the pool - just remember it's your treat after the wedding so the options are endless!

Most hotels abroad have a rep that sorts out excursions, but if money's tight, just getting on a bus and visiting different places in the country you're in is really nice. Or just laze on the beach! x

We are going to Egypt for our honeymoon - we have booked to do a few diving trips along with quad biking etc. Just because its a honeymoon doesn't mean you only have to do romantic things! We can't wait to go quad biking and we are also going to book boat trips once we are there.

In regards of places to go, we picked Egypt as the weather is pretty good all year round with October looking to be around mid 30s the entire time :) xx

Most hotels do excursions or if your like me you can just take advantage of the gorgeous beach, swimming, sun bathing, good drink and good food. I like to relax on holiday! We usually go see any historical buildings that are nearby because we love history but other than that it's cocktails by the pool with a good book. I'm sure you can work out what to do in the evenings in your room! ;-)

It depends what you like doing..... Do you like shopping, architecture, outdoors, quad biking, drinking, food, markets, etc the pick your destination depending on what's going on in the area. We have just come back from holiday in Tunisia and spent day 1 sunbathing and relaxing by the pool with a book, day 2 at the markets, day 3 on the beach, day 4 at a zoo, and so on so we do a excursion or go out the hotel every other day so breaks the holiday up xxxx

See for what i like, it would be a city, next to a beach that you can see mountains from... i dont think there is anything like that anywhere hahaha! but i can settle for a city next to a beach as long as it has a spa and lots of bargains... on a kind of related subject, has anyone ever heard of a hotel called the casa del horno? i kid you not it's a genuine hotel.

Hi, I can't imagine never going on holiday!

For our honeymoon we went to Benalmadena in Spain which is a town by the beach and mountains in the background. Not massive mountains, more big hills but you can get the cable cars up there. There are lots of shops and bars, watersports, restaurants, boat trips, excursions etc etc in Benalmad x

I dunno if thats too much for a honeymoon though? it is beautiful so very beautiful. sorry can you tell how in awe i am of this place. haha!

The shopping is good, you have the local sites like sugar loaf mountain, Christ the redeemer, go to samba clubs, theres some good tropical forests around if you want a hike, hang gliding if you like an adventure (fully recommend it - and i'm petrified of heights) you can take a trip into a favela if you want to, there are also a lot of places close by for days out, maracana if you like football, its a really nice city just to wonder around

no together, but then add in spending money and it totals up to around 5500 for the both for 2 weeks... ouchies. even the cheapest 3 star hotel (im not going below that as it's first holiday and honeymoon) is expensive. maybe i can consider rio for an aniversary holiday one year

We went to Hong Kong and Beijing for our honeymoon ... Hong Kong was lovely as it was so familiar and I got to catch up with some old friends I hadn't seen for 20 years. Beijing was wonderful but exhausting! We did so much sightseeing in the six days we were there, I was shattered when we got home!

Have you considered the Canaries? Lanzarote is good and tends to have good weather for most of the year. We went in April and stayed at Puerto Del Carmen. It has the old town with a few bars and restaurants and the new town/strip with a full promenade of nightlife and shops etc. There's miles of beach - and excursions to the volcanic mountains that aren't that far away (you can actually see them from the resort). There's also other resorts in Lanzarote that, again, aren't far from the mountains but are more 'city' with more shops etc.
Oh and it's only about a 4 hour flight from the UK.

For our honeymoon we went to Malta (hot all year round) and there were lots of excursions and places to visit. The only downside was the beaches tend to be flat rocks as opposed to sand (the main beach is a bus ride away).
