I was thinking last night (as I have not been able to sleep with wedding nerves and excitement so lie away for hours just plotting and thinking) That as my Son is H2Bs best man it would only be right that H2BS son has a part to play in the wedding. He is 11 and not a particularly well behaved or mature 11 at times lol
Anyway I was wondering about him being the page boy but what does a pageboy do?

Mines 7 and not doing n e thing as he's too scared because everyone will be watching him ! which tbh is annoying me as everyone is like awww its ok you can just stay with mummy and daddy - well no mummy is bridesmaid and so is sister and daddy is a groomsman and will be taking Rich to the pub and church!

I'm not sure exactly, but I know that they can carry the rings up the isle on a cushion, that's what mine page boy(my lovely nephew) is doing. I don't think there are much duties as they are usually only young.

My cousin is will also be 10 and H2B suggested having him as an Usher so that he feels part of the day as his little sister is bridesmaid and I think he is a bit left out, but we thought he was a bit old to be a page boy. My 18 year old brother is also being an usher so he can look after him, I presume all he'll have to do is stand at the back of the church and show people to their seats. He is quite chatty and outgoing so I think he'd enjoy it, but I haven't actually asked him yet!

Yeah I thought about doing that with Jack but we are only having a small wedding so ushers arnt needed as we are getting married in a hotel.
I just dont want him feeling left out as my Will my son lives with us which I imagine Jack finds difficult enough cos Will gets to see my H2B everyday where as we only see Jack once a month due to the distance between us.

Its so difficult trying to consider everyone and not hurt anyones feelings.

Rather than having him as a proper page boy then could you just have him as a ring bearer? My mum got married in a hotel last year and had the same cousin just to bring the rings to the front on a cushion at the appropriate time. He didn't actually walk up the aisle at the beginning, but he did make sure he was included in the photos of the bridal party afterwards!

we are not having a page boy but do have an 8 yr old nephew, his sister is a flower girl so we had to involve him in a way. He is therefore handing out the order of service to guests

Mine will be 3 and 4 so apart from walking down the isle looking GORJUS, they will be doing nothing!

my son is carrying a ring cushion wich will be funny as he thinks it's to sit on lol, but it depends on age really and what you want them to do, hold hands with the flower girls, hold the ring cushion, tell the vicer "" no,no i love her she's my mummy"" lol it's really up to you xx

My 2 year old is our 'pageboy' but in all honesty hes doing nothing much except look gorgeous and walk down the aisle with my youngest bridesmaid, wouldnt be able to have him carry a ring cushion knowing my son he'd toss the at someone in the crowd lol ! xx
