I've just had an idea about favours, we wre defintley providing pins for CLIC sargent as favours, but today I thought of something I would quite like to do as well.
Our daughters name is Ella-Rose and we call her 'Rosebud' as her nickname, I was thinking we could give everyone a rose bulb or seed (not sure what way you grow roses'!) and a poem about grow your own rosebud and see how beautiful they are and how much joy they bring to your life.
Obv I would need your help with coming up with a proper poem, but It's just an idea at the min.
    What you all think?
    Does it sound daft?
    I don't even know if it's possible :/

    What about something like this?

A rose can say I love you and want you to be mine,
A rose can say I thank you for being so very kind,
A rose can say congratulations, whatever the occasion may be,
A rose can say I miss you and wish you were here with me,
A rose can say I'm sorry if I've hurt you in any way,
A rose can say get well soon, May God bless you today,
A rose can say I wish you happiness, and the best for you each day.
A rose can say farewel when someone goes away,
A rose can say hello, I'm thinking of you today,
There's just so many wonderful things that a rose can say,
A rose can say goodbye when a love one is laid to rest,
No matter what there is to say, a rose can say it best.

There are so many people out there who will tell you
    what you can't do.
What you have to do is turn around and say, "watch me"!!

Aw Amy great minds think alike!
Think it's a stayer then, just need to look into the actual reality of making it happen.
Still not sure if roses grow from seeds or bulbs :/ I have some in my garden but I bought them when they were already budding.
Oh and also need a nice poem ,something short and sweet but to the point lol

Roses are generally grown from cuttings, but it is possible (although difficult and you wont get flowers for a couple years) to grow them from seeds xx

Thank you Sara, that's what I was thinking but hoping wasn't the case lol!
What size of cuttings would you need?
Do you think there would be a big price difference between seeds and cuttings?
If I bought a rose plant now, could I take the cuttings this next summer to give?
