I know it says in like 4 years time but its not lol... that was just a rough estimate you know what these things are like, something always goes wrong!!
My mum last week suggested I have my reception at the local farm people who we know... which is a field etc with toilets yadda yadda yadda... and they would through in a pig for a hog roast all they want is a donation of £100 for the farm which is more than reasonable... Its a farm on the cliff near the ocean, so its a beautiful view... What do you ladies think?? I always dreamed on having a white tie event but im sure that can be done in a marquee right????? lol... My mum knows a few people who can help with a really nice marquee so we would save some cost there, obviously its in a field on a farm lol... theres just something about it that bothers me lol, I can see it happening in my head just no idea where to start!!
Thank you for reading fabulous ladies :) xxx

Honestly...not my cup of tea at all. Although it wouldn't stop me attending a friends wedding and marquees can be gorgeous! Especially with a beautiful view of the ocean

I'd love it!!! You could defo still have a white tie event in the marquee or you could really play up to the farm theme and have white wellies and co-ordinating colours for your BM's! Hog roasts always go down a treat. I'd love it - it's really different x
Vegas baby!

Aww that sounds a lovely idea! The only thing that'd put me off is the portaloos but the pro's completely outweigh that!

Sounds wondeful! and what a view to have aswell....im assuming the cows etc will be no where near the party? xx lol
CommentAuthorCupcakeBride-tobe
Lol... Kevs Angel... cows out of sight as well as the alpaccas, goats, sheep, chickens, pigs, ferrets, dogs..mental looking turkeys... they are around the front of the farm!! lol... OMG!! Littel Kettle loving your idea!!! I love the white wellies idea! haha... my dad in a kilt and wellies?!? GENIOUS!! :P No portaloos Kirstyless, they have a seperate builing on the farm with toilets, a hall and a kitchen, computer rooms and a play room.. they do some teaching up there hence the building :) xxx

I think your right ladies, one hotel where i lived was after around 6,000 for the evening reception and on top of that if we wanted an evening reception we would need to book all forty rooms in the hotel which was like £2,500 :/..unnegotiable! xx

Sounds like a fab deal, plus I think the bonus of a marquee is that it is blank canvas, so you can really do anything decoration and colour wise.

That sounds amazing! I think by the time you've got decorations to put your own stamp on it, not to mention good friends, good food and plenty of drink, the whole thing will be awesome! x

Sounds really nice, we do loads of wedding in farmers field in marquees and they look amazing, you don't need to worry about noise levels, and you can have the "venue" exactly as you'd like it, once its decorated up they look beautiful xx

sounds fantastic to me and i think it would be amazing to have a marquee there. i think they can be expensive to hire so i would look into marquee costs before you decide. don't want you to set your heart on it and it be impossible because of your budget xxx
