You are still entitled to the prizes as much as anyone else. I'm sorry to see you are leaving. Unfortunately all forums are the same in which everyone has an opinion and there will always be one or two that express it in a way that others don't like. I find the best thing to do is ignore things like that as the good always out weighs the bad. Good luck for your wedding and wish you all the best for the future if you do decide to leave. x x

I have decided to stay, I only paid to become a power user a few days ago, I'm not letting it go to waste plus h2b said I've got so many ideas from here and found it so useful it would be a shame to not use it because of a couple of people! Sometimes it is easy for people to get your back up but I always think why should I leave because of them as we all have the right to be on here so its just a case of learn to ignore them. What kind of thing was you thinking of for you entertainment and what kind of budget did you plan to spend for it?

Clarabella, h2b did think that at first but once I told him about the competitions and all the ideas I've got from it he changed his mind and he loves it that it keeps me quiet and I'm not forever asking him "what do you think about this.. what shall we do for that" lol..
Jo, I know what you mean. I normally let it go over my head but this one has really got to me but the thread has been unbookmarked and I won't be reading it so its forgotten now. I know everyone has there views and they are entitled to it but there really isn't any need to be rude and I tend to bite if I have been wound up, which is a habit I need to stop!! Anyhow, back to being the normal happy Melody that has a wedding brain lol! Well we have a DJ for the evening and thats it so far and possibly a chocolate fountain and a home made sweetie buffet (diet gone mad hmm) but I really want something to wow the guests or keep them entertained, I was looking at possibly a casino as h2b really doesn't want a magican!

Well I found a live swing singer/michael buble who is £400 and that is with his travel costs from Manchester to the midlands so it is possible to get something live for that price. He then does a normal disco inbetween sets. A normal DJ though can be even cheaper so it just depends on what kind of thing you are looking for.

Casino's are good or you could have a boardgame theme where you have loads of old games for people to play etc. They don't have to cost a fortune.

Clarabella, I've just typed into goggle, wedding casino hire Bristol and tons have come up! I've just going to go through them all and check prices. I'm not sure how it will work though, we have the whole mansion for my wedding so plenty of different rooms to use if they need a quieter area but I don't want my guests all split up or can they go in the same room as the DJ ?? Hmmm

Just one thing though does it have to be in a separate room away from the kids with it being gambling? I'm not sure how the rules would apply for that but I'm sure that the companies would be able to tell you that.

I'd love a magician but h2b has put his foot down, I have no idea why though. My cousin had one at her wedding and he was great, h2b seemed to of been impressed but he won't let me have one at our own wedding. He's so strange!

h2b has said we don't need anymore entertainment a dj is enough, I'm just a little worried after being at a wedding last year, there was about 3 people on the dance floor the whole night. You would of never of guessed it was a wedding.. I dread that happening lol
