I have a question, a lot of you say that you want to keep your wedding bouqet. Will you still throw it for the singles to catch at the reception? If so should the person who catches it keep it? Maybe I should have 2 bouqets?? Not sure what to do?

If you are going on honeymoon straight away and using real flowers there is not much point keeping it.

I wont be throwing mine. It will be the only real flower bouquet there, I'll be putting it on H2B's little sisters grave day after the wedding. The rest I will be selling on bay of e soon as i get back from honeymoon!!!

Mine are all silk so after doing the walking up the aisle bit, the flowers will sit near the cake, not going to throw them as might knock someone out, might throw the garter though, possibly... as long as I get it back again! Think the garter has to be thrown at the men rather than the ladies though! Then going to keep them for a few months just to enjoy them and then probably sell them on, not sure yet, might end up putting them in the attic! I'm not very good at throwing stuff away or selling it on!

Janey I think traditionally the groom takes off the garter with his teeth and the best man puts it on the MOH with his teeth

OMG Kat I think that'd cause a few arguments if that were to happen at ours lol! Think I'll be keeping mine firmly on until we get back to the hotel. As for throwing the bouquet I'm planning on getting a second one so I can try to have mine dried out & keep it although from what I can gather they don't tend to work very well. x

LOL Kat, dont think that will be happening! Garter is only for eyes of my groom, and we dont have a MOH! (I think best mans partner might have had issues if we had a MOH and best man was ravaging her with his teeth!)

The BM's will be asked if they would like to keep them..if not the Bay of E here I come (with other Wedding bits!). I am having a smaller posy (same as my bouquet) made to go on my Grandparents grave - it would have been their 74th Wedding Anniversary.
Did you know you can have Fresh flowers preserved and made into a keepsake..?

im taking mine to where my grandads ashes are. i might see if the florist can make me a smaller one to throw coz that does look like fun! x

hi hun, its the bridesmaids bouquet that your supposed to throw (or so i read) if they arent having any or theirs is too small you could get an extra one or if you are wanting to keep it you dont have to throw it at all, its your choice hun x
