My h2b is having 2 best men and his 18 year old son as an unofficial usher (we are not doing ushers and groomsmen and pageboys so the best men will have to take on these jobs too)He asked me the other evening what their roles entailed and i told him i thought he should research that himself (because i didn't know lol!) What are they supposed to do? I know they direct people to their seats and hand out the order of service and one of them will have the rings for h2b but what else??? xxx

I've been researching this stuff too!
My H2B is having 2 best men too and they are doing this: Both of them are in charge of stag do, travelling to the venue (making sure he gets there on time etc) One of them is in charge of rings, and signing the witness thing The other is sitting on top table and doing a speech
We are having two ushers (my brother and his brother) who as far as I know will be doing the seating thing, and handing out order of service, accompanying my bridesmaids on the recessional march (or whatever its called) and looking pretty in pictures. Oh and his brother who is chief usher also aids the best men in any jobs etc

I had forgotten about the signing of the register Kirsty.Good idea having one signing and the other in charge of the rings.We are also only having 1 best man on the top table so it doesn't look unbalanced although not sure whether one or both will do speeches.Talking of which is it the best mans job to announce bride and grooms arrival into the room at the wedding breakfast and announce the speeches etc? Not sure if our lot will 'look pretty in pictures'! xxx
