Wedding Forum - What do i wear...

hi to everyone , im getting married for the second time , i am no spring chicken lol im 48 , and i havent got a clue what to wear , we are getting married in a registry office , and i dont want the full white dress not at my age , has anyone got any ideas or thoughts that i could think about , thanks alot sue

they have some really gorgeous stuff in monsoon!

think maybe a nice coulour , ie beige dont no weather to go for a suit or a knee lenght dress sounds good , with a shawl or somethign , im only small 4ft 10 lol , so i have to think about what i do wear , nitemare lol

thanks steph yes i mite go try a few on see what i do feel comfy in , im not a dress person you see , i do want to look differant , sexy on the day , i wear jeans alot lol , i will have to drag my self to the shop and try a few out xxxx

Thankyou both i got it of ebay brand new from a shop on there i tried it on for the 1st time yesterday at a dress fitting as it needs taking up and i was really excited but i knew that was the 1 so Sue u will find something honest x

im 40 next month thats kinda scary cos i dont feel it lol. We are having a church wedding all being well i am waiting on my divorce papers but i think i have the worlds slowest solicitor :)

I know I dont feel it either,lovely to actually find someone who's got the same wedding day as me and we are onlt two countys apart aswell ....lol x

Yeah I think so to.I want a proper princess one though all pretty and sparkly. I haven't however tried any on ever so have no idea what will and wont suit me but I will be gutted if the ball gown type doesn't look nice

i am wearing red "i think" ..... but the theme of my wedding is going to be black and white with a request to all guest to wear only those colours......well thats the theory at the moment anyway

Glad there are other 2nd timers on here who are still wearing full on frocks! I didn't really like my dress the first time round (which was clearly an omen!!) I have a gorgeous Maggie Sottero number this time round and can't wait to wear it! As lots of others have said on here - it's whatever you feel good in!

hi, my great aunt of 73years just got married for the 3rd time after being widowed twice. She looked beautiful in a floor length lilac dress and little jacket. you can look good at any age. just wear what you feel comfy in!! xxx

This is my 2nd wedding too and people keep saying to me to wear a smart suit but I dont want to look like the mother of the bride!! So I'm going to look for something long, floor length, cream or champagne, not strapless, elegant and flowing, no train, no veil, just something sleek and simple, and maybe a sequined bodice, something a bit glitzy..... I'll keep looking......
