I was really worried I'd completely run out of money and not be able to afford half the wedding but have been refunded a bit of money on one of these PPI things. There were lots of things I wanted and couldn't afford but not sure which one to spend the money on, what do you think would be the best use of the money? C xx

I would pay off credit card, as the rest is a little unnecessary and you don't want to start your married life in debts

Sorry to burst your bubble but the credit card is more important then those things for your wedding as they are not things you really need x

Damn! I thought people might say that! Already in lots of debt from student days so guess the more I can get rid of the better! Thanks for honest advice guys! Although I do think I have the whole of my married life to work at paying off debt... No, I'm sure you're right.

the sensible thing is to pay off your credit card but i voted for the photobooth i think it would be amazing at ur wedding its something that everyone is going to remember and im silly like that hence why my h2b controls the money in our household *hands over eyes*

Credit card from me! I'm completely skinting myself each month at the moment as I want to be debt free to start married life. Once bills are paid, savings set aside and a little bit of fun money factored in, every spare penny is going to paying of my card.

I like your thinking katielea. Likewise my H2B is the sensible one with money- although I'm sorting whole wedding and he has no idea what I've spent!

I've gone with credit card, although I'm working bits of overtime and there'll be extra in the pot, so thinking of having a photobooth type thing. It'll only be a last minute booking if I do though as something more important is bound to have been forgotten lol x

I picked credit card as well, but only cause none of those things really jump out at me as must haves. Now if chocolate fountain was in there... things might be different lol!

I agree with every one else, I would be paying off the credit card. The lower your balance the less interest you will be charged, which means the less money the bank gets from you in the long run!! Seriously boring I know, but just think how you will feel when you pay it off or get it down a good bit!
We also got money back from one of those ppi things, we are using it towards some stuff for the wedding, which is great as it means it won't have to go on our credit cards which was he original plan
