Ive just done my day invites and we get married 5th April, Ive asked for RSVP's by 8th Feb (which is about 8 weeks before the wedding) as my caterer needs numbers 6 weeks before. My night time ones I will probably ask for RSVP's around 26th Feb, unless my caterer wants numbers confirming earlier for that too xx

I've asked for the end of this month, which is about 9 weeks before but we haven't had a lot back so far so make sure you have plenty of time to chase!

With our wedding this saturday we got told our meeting with the venue would be within the last 4 weeks. So we had an rsvp date of 1st October, that gave 2 weeks for any stragglers but 14th October was our deadline. After that all people who hadn't replied were crossed off. there was an rsvp after that saying they 'might' come but I told them it was too late for a maybe and my numbers were handed in. To be honest they weren't but I wasn't going to be left hanging around for someone to make up their mind whether they were coming or not. Wasn't like it was a close member of family or anything and they'd aldready had a good 8 weeks since the invitation was sent and a save the date card before that. x

I would suggest by mid September.

I got married on the 6th October this year and asked for RSVP by mid July only so I did not have to worry about people who had not replied in time when I had to finish off paying for the venue.

we got married 8th September and we put 30th June on there so that we could chase the stragglers, our venue needed final numbers a month before

One thing I didn't do was but an rsvp date on my evening invites as I thought I wouldn't need one. I did put our address on though. I'm so glad I did as we've received lots of evening rsvp's and as a result have had to up our catering for the evening! I though there would only be a further 40 for the evening, so with the 60 during the day they recommended catering for 80. We've had a total of 120 confirmed for the evening with others saying they're popping in on way to or from work. I've upped our evening food now so at least everyone can have a nibble x
