I'm having a 7yr old flowergirl who has told me she wants to carry a basket with petals and then I have a 5yr old page boy (my son). I have no idea what he can carry. Best man will have the rings and I don't really want to give page boy petals too. Any other ideas?

He could carry a ring pillow with fake rings (or no rings?)

My nephew is our page boy, and i wasn't going to give him anything but then realised he might look silly next to flower girls with baskets and petals, so he is going to have a ring pillow, but not sure if i am going to put the rings on as i want the best men to have them!!! xx

In summer fiestas in Spain, one of the church services involved quite large baskets of bread that are carried by one small boy and one small girl... it looks so cute...maybe you could do that with a big basket of flowers or the order of services?

Or even if you're having confetti or bubbles or ribbon wands... basket of those?

We are having 4 bridemaids and one page boy who will be 8 years old I had not thought about what he could carry but I love the idea of a box of tissues could come in very handy.

i was thinking about teddies for my flowergirl (3) and pageboy (4) the flowergirl's teddy with a small posy and the pageboys, with a little suit on it,with ribbon tied to their ears (the teddies that is lol) to carry them, not too sure yet, or a ring cushion with fake rings on. :-) x

Mmm. Like the ring cushion idea and would probably trust him with the rings. He could pass them to the best man at the ceremony. Hankies is a good one too, thanks. x

Gosh lelbel1, that's brave! I wouldn't let a 5 year old have my rings! If you do that at least stitch them on so that if he trips they don't end up under the pews! A few stitches can be ripped off easily at the altar without even needing scissors.

I thought traditionally the page boys were supposed to help manage the train? Or maybe he could link arms with the flower girl and carry her basket for her, then she could use her free hand to scatter petals?

Ring cushions have ribbons to tie the rings on with, they should be fine and there is always someone to keep an eye on them. I think they would be very careful generally if they thought it was a real important job! And sooo cute xxx
