My colour theme is navy, white and pale pink flowers I think h2b should have a navy suit but he thinks he should have grey!! My bridesmaids are in navy, fg's in white and all buttonholes and bouquets are pink would grey suits be weird with us already having 3 colours one half of me wants to be a bridezilla and scream at him and say you have to have navy suits but the other calmer side says its his day too if he wants grey let him have it but the other thing bothering me as well is his picked the exact same suit his sister had at her wedding 4 years ago and I really don't want anything the same as her wedding x
i personally love grey suits, whether they match the theme or not! If it helps, our colour scheme is aqua blue and fuschia, with fuscia and orange flowers. Bridesmaids are wearing aqua, and carrying fuschia and orange flowers, I'm wearing ivory and carrying fuschia, orange and yellow flowers - adam is wearing a grey suit with a fuschia cravat and buttonhole! If he wears a tie/cravat to match the theme then I can't see why it wouldnt look fine :o)

see I want my h2b to wear white/ivory waistcoat and cravat and the other men to wear navy or navy and white waistcoat with navy cravat so duno if it will all work together x
hmm...well adam tried on a grey suit with an ivory waistcoat and they really didn't go together so I'm not sure now! What I would say though is to be open minded, like you said, its his day too and if he really wants to wear grey then maybe go with him to try some suits on and see what you think. You never know, he may prefer the navy one when he gets there anyway :o)

My OH and his men are having slate grey suits, my colour theme is ivory and burgundy, but in order to pull off a cream suit, you need to be proper fit, so we went with grey as its neutral and goes with most colours, if your OH doesn't want navy, grey would still be nice and not clash to much, maybe he could have a pale pink or navy waistcoat and tie to match your theme

OK, here's my opinion.... Navy blue suits scream business suits to me and may look a bit wrong at a wedding. I think they grey could work, depending on the shade of grey...maybe with pale pink tie/cravat and maybe a blue buttonhole to tie it all in with the theme?
hi hun im having navy, ivory n burnt orange...i want h2b n best men in charcoal grey with ivory/white shirt, navy waistcoat and cravat wth the burnt orange rose buttoniere........you could do the same accept with a pink flower??? xxx
Now that ive seen I think the navy suit with ivory waistcoat n pink cravat would look really nice and uses ur colors or pink waistcoat and ivory cravat? Either way ad say navy suit now that ive seen the grey wouldnt quite look the same, but thats my opinion xx

I'd have thought Navy suit would be a given with your colour scheme!
Maybe you could show him a mood board thingy with all your colours and navy suits and then show him one with all your colours and grey suits and maybe he'll realise how out of place he'll look? lol

They'll be in navy tails with navy pin stripe trousers then h2b will wear white waistcoat and white cravat with his white rose buttonhole, his 2 best men will be in white and navy waistcoat with pink cravat pink buttonholes and all the ushers, dad, and pageboys will wear navy waistcoat and navy cravat with pink buttonholes x x x
