    Hi guys!

I'm getting married in April 2014. I've bought my ivory wedding dress and the colour scheme is Cadbury Purple, I've bought the bridesmaids dresses now need to find a dress for my mother! What colour do you suggest?

    Thanks! :)

Something in a different but complimentary shade of purple? Does your mum have a preference?

Our colour are chocolate and orange and my mum has got a mocha (light brown) colored dress. I wanted her to be included in all the colors especially as I don't have a dad xx

I would suggest a purple/lilac or something with that colour or maybe said complimentary colour of purple maybe silver

    Good luck xxx

I had an ivory dress and our bridesmaids were also in Cadbury purple. My mum wore a lilac outfit.

I would say lilac, or silver!

If you could find a silvery lilac, that would be gorgeous x

My mother in law is going to be wearing like a pewter silver, I was nasty and said I didn't want my mum or her in royal blue, so mum has gone for a purple and mil a silver type colour.

I think a sleek grey (silvery looking without actually dressing her in shiny silver) with lilac accessories. That would be flattering, pretty and fit in with the other colours. Grey doesn't have to be plain at all. I have seen beautiful grey wedding outfits that look incredible.

My mum is having a wee outfit made in a gorgeous grey, it really suits he too, she's accessorising with lemon shades. She's a tiny 5 foot... so it's been hard to find a colour that doesn't keep her looking tiny. She's going to be stunning xx

Personally, I think she should wear whatever she wants.

My dress and two of the bridesmaid's dresses are ivory, and the other 3 bridesmaids dresses are emerald green. Most of our colours are ivory/similar, with some blush pink in some of the flowers (eg my bouquet). My mum is wearing a pale, silvery colour, which was totally her choice; don't know what OH's mum is wearing, probably white because she's a tw@t..

So yeah, I'd just let her wear what she wants.
