My sister asked me today if I'd got any ideas for centre pieces...but tbh not thought about this part yet. What is everyone else having? X

I don't have a clue, I don't want anything that is too expensive. Was looking on the bay of e and the other page to see if there were any cheap vases and maybe put coloured pebbles in xxx
CommentAuthorMrs M Wade
Yeah I was thinking the same or maybe some nice flowers. I have bought some balloons but thought about just putting them out before the evening guests arrive

I had balloons at my first wedding and they looked really nice. I only had an evening party last time, this time we are having sit down in the afternoon xxx

We get married at 3pm then church guests coming to reception and were thinking of serving canapés. Then once it's time for evening guests to arrive we will prob put the balloons out. Or do u think I should just put them out all day?
If you have them on a long enough ribbon you could have them out all day, especially if you are looking to save money. My mum put my balloons out just before 11am and they were still up after midnight, well minus the few that my brothers got hold of to use the HELIUM after being expressly told that were not allowed to do that xxx

Haha sounds abit like my OH.i said to him the other day if I can't find him he will either be with the balloons or the bar!!!! Haha. Trying to save as much as we can so will probably just out the balloons out will have to see x

We're having vintage books in some form, either piled up with a jam jar or flowers on top or a few in a line with the flowers acting like an end piece. It's still a work in progress!

That sounds beautiful Mrs Kirby2b. I will have about 5 tables and the top table so not much to decorate really, plus hoping can sell it on when finished. I have seen the large martini glasses in one of the cheap shops for £12 so may use them, unless I can find them cheaper xxx But then I was thinking of old glass bottles and painting them with our colours and having 3 bottles in the middle of the tables. So many ideas xxx

We are really lucky as we get flower centre pieces included in our venue hire cost. They give the florist a budget and we choose colour and design etc.

I'm having my wedding in December so me and my sister were looking and fake mini Christmas trees or making little trees out of baubles x

We are having large lanterns at our wedding. There are some reasonably priced ones at mat a lan and you get discounts if you have the loyalty card as well. We are having balloons tied to the handle, so should be nice.

We are having a vintage country style wedding, so i am going round all the charity shops and finding country milk jugs (we are dairy farmers) and growing my own flowers to put in them, with some hessian table numbers tied by string around the jugs, with a few purple silk flower petals around them :) and on the top table, i am getting jam jars, filled with my home grown flowers, then going to tie them with baler twine and hang them on the end of the pews in the church and ask everyone to pick one up and put it on the top table :) Our centre piece for the top table is a wooden ornament saying Mr & Mrs Ferraro in Ivory (its also a tealight holder, so can use it in the house afterwards too)

Each of our centrepieces will reflect the table name. The names are all going to be musicians and each centrepiece will reflect something that they're known for.
30th August 2014 was the best birthday ever.
It was the day that I became Mrs. Dixon.
