    Hiya brides!

I apologise if there's already a thread like this and I haven't spotted it in advance :-)

I just wondered what peoples experiences are of organists and what they can play? I'm going for quite a traditional church wedding and my h2b has said he really wants the organ for coming in/ out. However I REALLY don't want to walk in to 'Here comes the bride'. I've actually got my heart set on walking in to Ave Maria, my Grandma was Austrian and an opera singer and she sang that at my mum and dad's wedding so it would be a nice link. Mum, Dad and h2b think it's a good idea.

Will the organist be able to play it though? Or could I ask them to 'learn' it (we aren't getting married till next August)? We haven't had our meeting wit the vicar yet to discuss hymns/ readings etc, she said we wouldn't need to see her about it till January, so would the time to check it out be then?

    Thanks ladies! xxxx
