I'm a bit torn as to what to get my flowergirls for when they're walking down the aisle. I don't want to give them a little bouquet as they'll be 4 and 6 and I have visions of them plucking all the petals out!
I was thinking of either a wand or maybe a little "here comes the bride" sign. Does anyone else have any other suggestions or opinions of which option might be best?
Thank you!

My flower girl will be 7 and she will have a little crystal bouquet
My pageboys will be 4 and 6 and the oldest will be carrying the ring cushion with my engagement ring on (doing the engagement ring vow so the best man will have the wedding rings) and the youngest will be holding a here comes the bride sign

I've made the flower girls Butterfly wands. I had the same thought as you, that they would just be sat there picking the flowers out!!! I'll give them the wands just as we're about to walk down the aisle so they don't get bored of them!!!
My other idea, I was going to get teddy bears for them?? One dressed as a bride and the other dressed as a groom. And, they were to give them to us when signing the register?? :-)

I've got mine a star wand to carry, and then some butterfly/fairy wings she can wear after the ceremony so she can be a fairy princess for the rest of the day.
-RachaelC80 - what happens if they don't want to hand the teddies over, and tears and tantrums erupt?? :-S

Mine have heart wands. They also have big princess dresses so they'll be princess's for the day :) I didn't want flowers as they'll lose interest in them but hopefully they'll love having wands.

... or you could have a little corsage on the wrist?
CommentAuthorRachaelC80
Amy K, didn't really think of that as I don't have children!!! That's why I'm sticking with the wands!!! I just think they'll look far cuter than with flowers!!! :-)

Weve got baskets with petals in for them to put down the aisle (and extra petals to refill the basket after) ours are 5 and 7 though. X

RachaelC - why don't you give them teddies of their own, or make sure they know the ones they're bringing are yours, and when they hand them over to you, you give a teddy to each of them (explain its a bit like Christmas when people swap presents, except not everyone's getting them as its a special day for you & H2B, and for them? They'd feel extra special then)? My mums husband had a toy car and choc buttons to give to my nephew as a 'trade' for the cushion bearing their wedding rings
