i was wondering like the topic says what kind of lingerie or so you are wearing underneath your dress?
Or is there anything special your surprising your h2b with??
Would be lovely to share some ideas and things others do!
Hope that isnt inappropriate to ask!
(haven't decided yet as I want something really special but its so hard to find something)

oh thats lucky if u wont need any bra or feel confident without it :) ... i remember I have seen lovely underwear/lingerie 2,5years back in victoria secrets in NY but to fly over there the extra cash is missing ... but at least bought white hold up stockings there which I will be wearing than for the 1st time ever :) but apart from that still not a clue... :)
so I think u should get at least your chemise if you think h2b would be really loving it as well as you do :)

I had this question a few months back, the dress shop said I had to make a decsion, so I have decided not to wear anything, well undies of course!!!! Dont think ill bother with anything to special for later in the evening!! maybe the night after, when the drinks arent flowing as much. W ehave to boys and are having 2 nights in a hitel, we live in new zeland but are getting married in the uk, so its like a full honeymoon, so waiting anothe r night wont matter hahahahaha

Neither me or my OH really drink so I'm guessing we'll both be quite sober on the big night!
I haven't found what I want to wear under the dress yet though, still looking!

Havent even though about it yet as I am a dificult size to buy for. thought about one of those hold you in push you ups but decided against it as thought that it might not look seXXXy. My mum has been suggesting a few things !!!!! and kept saying you want to look good when you take your dress off, this made me blush as she said it realy load in front off everyone in n the shop xx

im just wearing a nice bra and plain knickers and then will be changing my knickers to match my bra later on in the evening!! xx

Im struggling aswell....i could get away with not having a bra but dont feel confident with out it. I have hold ups aswell but also a garter to wear seems a tad much just so unsure.

lol mym72 haha liking the bridget jones pants idea dont think our h2bs/hubbys will like it than :D but comfort yeah your right is important haven't thought about that really either...

i do have hold up once in white but apart from that no nice and comfy stuff to wear underneath :D

pennie what site did you find that corset? Im thinking I want a corset as long as its low cut at the back as my dress is just below bra strap line!

I've got a longling bra from Gossard and matching shorts. However that's more for reining in the back flab despite it being a really lovely set. And a garter for tradition.
Once the wedding is over, we're going to be too tired for anything (I will have been up since 7am at least) and will probably collapse in a dribbling heap, haha.

I'll probably end up saving it for the honeymoon, especially since the Gossard set is inspired by French fashion. Also saved for the honeymoon are previous options for wedding lingerie- a white steel boned corset (which looks better as a top really) and a black/cerise basque.

Well the corset came in the post today - earlier than expected so was pleased with that. It feels lovely, is very pretty and wasn't too constrictive. However I will have to send it back - I ordered it in a XL - which matches to the size 14 - and had to fasten it as tight as possible for it to fit nicely and considering that I'm still trying to lose some weight, I think I will need the next size down! Not their fault really, and I think the L - or 12 - should be fine since it does have a decent modesty panel in the back as well. Oh - and the "beige" is definitely more of a skin tone/peach colour!

i need something that will push me up but have a very low back or something that cant be seen as my dress has a corset back but not having the modesty panel! x will probs get something nice for ry for the honeymoon! (when we go)

i just thought aswell if i have a big dress i'll need something easy to go to the toilet in!! lol i never really thought about it before but i need to be comfortable too!! aarrrggghhh!!! sooo complicated!!

I got a lovely matching Ivory set from Deb en hams in the sale that i will be wearing, think that and the dress will be enough to shock Mark as i never wear matching and very rarely wear dresses lol.

Not bothering with anything special for the night time as bit pointless really xx

I find a good suspender belt and a pair of stockings is usually more comfortable than hold-ups. I occasionally wear the pretty "lingerie" belts and I constantly worry that my stockings are going to fall down and the clips ping off.

Stockings HQ, Kiss Me Deadly, Cervin, Rago and What Katie Did all do good belts (six straps with decent clips), other brands can be ropey. Some Agent Provocateur belts are decent but they're WAY overpriced (even in the sale).

Stockings-wise I'd highly recommend Gio fully fashioned or RHTs for sheer retro glamour. For day to day I wear Aristoc Ultra-Shine, Marks and Spencers (all of theirs are good) or even Primark (which are pretty but very small on the thigh). Agent Provocateur stockings largely come from a French company called Cervin and can be bought elsewhere at less than half the price.

You wouldn't wear suspenders with hold-ups, but I have to say that I've generally found that stockings (by which I mean not hold-ups) and suspenders are more reliable and get much more of a "WOW" response from men.

Just to be aware, most department store suspender belts are absolute rubbish (even the expensive ones). I've only ever found retro-style belts comfortable for a full day.
